After 110,000+ kills and 50+ days played MW2 online it is time for me to learn a bit more about weapons I used for almost 2 years...
In the past I used ROF numbers from cod.wiki and this forum, but I think cod.wiki is not reliable and players on this forum use mainly consoles that (might) have different ROF, what happens at least in MW3 ... Well, we'll see.... denkirson.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=4075
Moreover: being a bit bored with MW3 I return to MW2 so I am interested in a reliable information this time.
MW2 version: 1.2.208
System: Win7 64-bit, Intel Core i5 750 @ 2,67GHz, RAM 8GB, ASUS GeForce GTX470, ASUS P7P55D-E Deluxe
ROF = 60 / (time to empty the mag / (mag size - 1))
As I started to play COD4 this weekend (Mar 10th 2012), after a big pause, I expanded this thread to cover COD4 weapons as well.
framerate: 91
---------------------- MODERN WARFARE 2 ------------------------------
LMG + Grip
L86 LSW: 778 rpm, 100-round mag fired in 7,630 sec; in 7,625 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 779 rpm. Other sources: 750 rpm ok
RPD: 681 rpm, 100-round mag fired in 8,720 sec; in 8,715 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 681,6 rpm. Other sources: 666 rpm ok
MG4: 778 rpm, 100-round mag fired in 7,630 sec; in 7,620 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 779 rpm. Other sources: 800 rpm ok 1st surprise: ROF=L86 LSW
M240: 908 rpm, 100-round mag fired in 6,540 sec; in 6,535 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 909 rpm. Other sources: 850 rpm 2nd surprise, WTF?
AUG HBAR: 677 rpm, 42-round mag fired in 3,630 sec; in 3,620 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 679 rpm. Other sources: 666 rpm ok 3rd surprise: ROF not RPD
RPD vs AUG HBAR [681 vs 677 rpm]
3-round burst: RPD: 0,1744 sec, AUG HBAR 0,1729 sec; difference: 0,0015 sec;
4-round burst: RPD: 0,2616 sec, AUG HBAR 0,2593 sec; difference: 0,0023 sec;
5-round burst: RPD: 0,3488 sec, AUG HBAR 0,3457 sec; difference: 0,0031 sec;
6-round burst: RPD: 0,4360 sec, AUG HBAR 0,4321 sec; difference: 0,0039 sec;
7-round burst: RPD: 0,5232 sec, AUG HBAR 0,5186 sec; difference: 0,0046 sec;
Against one opponent you won't notice a difference, but against 3-4 moving enemies?
4 bursts x 0.0023 sec difference ~ 0,01 sec. and the 4th opponent might get a chance to kill you.
----------------------------------------------------
Assault Rifle + Silencer
AK-47: 679 rpm, 30-round mag fired in 2,560 sec; in 2,555 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 681 rpm. Other sources: 666 rpm ok
TAR-21: 681 rpm, 30-round mag fired in 2,555 sec; in 2,553 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 681,6 rpm. Other sources: 750 rpm WTF? 4th surprise
SCAR-H: 603 rpm, 20-round mag fired in 1,890 sec; in 1,880 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 606 rpm. Other sources: 630 rpm ok
TAR-21 vs SCAR-H
750/630 = 1,19 [public]
681/603 = 1,13 [my result]
In fact, on PC, ROF advantage is a bit lower than most players suppose ...
M4A1: 776 rpm, 30-round mag fired in 2,240 sec; in 2,235 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 778 rpm. Other sources: 800 rpm ok ROF double checked
ACR: 776 rpm, 30-round mag fired in 2,240 sec; in 2,235 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 778 rpm. Other sources: 750 rpm ok ROF double checked
M4A1 vs ACR: 5th surprise. The same ROF, while players think it is 800 vs 750 ....
I tested both with and without silencer ...
F2000: 906 rpm, 30-round mag fired in 1,920 sec; in 1,910 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 911 rpm. Other sources: 925 rpm OK
M16A4:
FAMAS:
FAL: 652 rpm, fires 2 rounds in 0,092 sec. Other sources: 630 rpm. ok
It is possible to fire FAL at higher ROF, even 705 rpm, but not in full auto mode and with low probability, so I'd rather forget it, probably my hardware/software issues...
----------------------------------------------------
SMG + Silencer
UMP45: 603 rpm, 32-round mag fired in 3,080 sec; in 3,070 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 605 rpm. Other sources: 630 rpm OK
UMP45+RF: 775 rpm, 32-round mag fired in 2,400 sec; in 2,380 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 781 rpm. (RF = 28% increase)
edit: Thank you, clown, UMP45 ROF was wrong previously, 566 rpm, as I used 30-round mag in calculations, while UMP45 has a 32-round mag.... sorry, my mistake.
P90: 907 rpm, 50-round mag fired in 3,240 sec; in 3,230 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 910 rpm. Other sources: 925 rpm OK
P90+RF: 1084 rpm, 50-round mag fired in 2,710 sec; in 2,690 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 1092 rpm. (RF = 19% increase)
MP5K: 813 rpm, 30-round mag fired in 2,140 sec; in 2,130 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 816 rpm. Other sources: 850 rpm ok
MP5K+RF: 1080 rpm, 30-round mag fired in 1,610 sec; in 1,590 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 1094rpm. (RF = 32% increase)
Vector: 1087 rpm, 30-round mag fired in 1,600 sec; in 1,595 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 1090 rpm. Other sources: 1000 rpm 6th surprise
Vector+RF: 1354 rpm, 30-round mag fired in 1,285 sec; in 1,275 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 1364 rpm. (RF = 24.5% increase)
Mini-Uzi: 902 rpm, 32-round mag fired in 2,060 sec; in 2,050 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 907 rpm. Other sources: 950 rpm ok
Mini-Uzi+RF: 1087 rpm, 32-round mag fired in 1,710 sec; in 1,700 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 1094 rpm. (RF = 19% increase)
- a bit surprising: Mini Uzi ROF < P90 ROF. "Official" stats: P90's ROF is lower. 7h surprise
- Vector's ROF ... amazing ...
- RF: MP5K benefits more than other SMGs
----------------------------------------------------
Machine Pistols
G18: 1050 rpm, 32-round mag fired in 1,771 sec; in 1,766 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 1053 rpm. Other sources: 1100 rpm ok
G18+Akimbo: same as non-Akimbo
PP2000: 775 rpm, 20-round mag fired in 1,470 sec; in 1,465 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 779 rpm. Other sources: 750 rpm ok
PP2000+Akimbo: same as non-Akimbo
TMP: 803 rpm, 15-round mag fired in 1045 sec; in 1,035 sec. 1 round left not fired, cap: 812 rpm. Other sources: 900 rpm WTF?
TMP+Akimbo: same as non-Akimbo
