the Five Seven. This is such a throwback COD4 type pistol. if you want to get accused of having a mod, use this thing. i just started using it recently and it looks outclassed on paper, but its just so darn accurate.
now sure its only situational, i can't use it like an mp9, BUT when you consider the fact that its a pistol, having quick switch that may allow you to not need sleight of hand pro. and quite frankly it can kill, and is great akimbo. i can't believe i'm just figuring out this gun.

I want someone to use akimbo P99s with a macro. Oh, man, you thought FMGs were bad? (Well, they were, during their buff period.)
The problem is that quick drop becomes entirely redundant when using Sleight of Hand, something that much of the player base swears by.
That said, even if you do use a macro, the MP9 does retain a number of advantages (larger magazine, more spawn ammo, greater 4HK range). For the rest of us who can't even hit the fire cap on the Mk14 consistently, the choice is fairly obvious.

The Five SeveN is my favorite secondary, been using it since CS days. gosh darn golly gee whiz shame it's unlocked at a high level so I have to settle with the USP/Skorpion/.44 until I get it (well, I'm in my last prestige now).
Most underrated weapon is Desert Eagle Akimbo. You have to work for it, but it's worth the pain of using the single one.
It has a terrible ammo loadout, a fair amount of recoil (for an akimbo weapon, that's pretty sad). Maybe I can see it working of you have Scavenger, but it's not much more effective than the Magnum at close range. And NOTHING is worth the pain of using a single Deagle.

The Fiven Seven is a cool gun. I liked it since the beginning, just for its high fire cap and handgun-properties. I've always liked pistols that are highly spammable. For some reason it just gives me a lot of excitement, especially when you humiliate the whole enemy team with that one little thing, considering they're all using dem automatics.

This isn't really a candidate for the most underrated secondary, but my favorite is the Desert Eagle -- yes, singluar, and with ADS! Because it doesn't have gunkick, you can use the hitmarker as a point of aim once the visual recoil throws your irons out of whack. It's challenging and feels badass for some reason.

Actually, last I checked the akimbo deagles did NOT get any extra ammo akimbo'd, leaving you with only 8 spare rounds. They'll only be good for one or two kills without scavenger.
P99 is terrible akimbo, use it with xmags and a rapid fire controller = machine pistol.
Is it even possible to use a rapid fire mod in MW3? I've never seen it happen, but I remember that it was a huge problem in COD4. I couldn't run around a corner without getting torn up by a rapid fire deagle.

I remember my worst result in MW3 — 4/15: it was second or third day of the MW3, I was using only the DE on the Bakaara… Now it's the only pistol (and the gun, except for some SR) I have less than 100 kills on.
In MW2, my worst result was 4/19 or 4/21 — I don't remember. Ofc, it was with the DE.Now I understand I'm a retard cause DE in MW2, like in MW, too, was made especially for Hardcоre and especially for hipfiring. However, I gained "All Pro" challenge with the help of a decent amount of luck and akimbo DE in MW2.

Except for the fact that i said underrated not overpowered. Mp9 with silencer is constantly used so if u mean maybe that particular setup is underrated, maybe, but as a GUN, the mp9 is absolutely by far no doubt the most used secondary post patch. And IMO the best, so i can't really call that UNDERrated. I've been killed by an mp9 many times but if memory serves correct, i don't i have, and if so maybe once or twice, been killed by a five seven, hence underrated.
It can be used as a Sniper. It can be used as a Shotgun. It can shoot around corners. It's the ultimate secondary that can compliment any weapon or play style.
It's also one of the best things to have when playing Domination. The reactions I get from killing people that are capping a flag are priceless, whether it's 1 person at a time or 3. XD

Pair the XM25 with Stalker, and you get an anti--camper tool for distance. Use Steady Aim for CQC anti-tactical loitering!

Also, you can combine it with Blind Eye and Hardline and play a fun game - see if you can get all of your killstreaks without a single gun kill. I'm pretty sure I've gotten a Reaper before without actually shooting anyone.

Assuming 2 kills from a Stinger, that means 7 other kills of enemy killstreaks for a Reaper.
I guess they must have been spamming UAV/CUAV and similar, or you'd have run out of bullets long before
Any answer that is not the above, except when using a Stinger for non-Barebones modes, is wrong.
I play Barebones exclusively now, and the only time I don't have an XM25 by my side is when I grab another Primary or when I use a MP for a Sniper (which I almost never touch that class).

That's strange. People (at least in PS3) are not using FMG9 akimbo so much. It's mostly the MLGPRO players that use them. The so called noobs are going for MP9 or a pistol. I hardly play with americans / australians so I don't know how things are for you guys.

Eh, I've seen a lot of FMG akimbo lately. Moreso than usual. What is on the low is single MP9s, akimbo MP9s, and akimbo Skorps. Pistols and FMGs are pretty high lately. [Relatively speaking]
