When I'm playing with the ACR tonight, it seems to have less pellets per clip, or less clips? I am running out of ammo much quicker than usual. Xbox didn't download an update or anything, which is why I may be totally wrong.

But something with the ACR has changed between last night and today forme...

Ehh, not that I know of? All ARs have 3 mags at spawn, so 90 bullets for the ACR. If its not 90, then I dont know how no one noticed that.. but I doubt it.

If a gun has a large magazine, then it probably has a large clip.

A magazine for an SG550 and its accompanying clip:

Clips load magazines. Magazines load chambers. If a gun has a large magazine, it probably has a large clip as well. The only exceptions are guns which explicitly cannot make use of a clip (ex. shotguns and rifles with internal tubular magazines).

No, it doesn't. A clip is like a speed loader. You connect it to the top of the magazine and push down on the top round. The spring in the magazine gets pushed down and the rounds just file in. Voila!
