I was asking myself about the health of killstreaks. Helicopters, UAVs, etc. I did some testing with the MG36 and I got this: UAV: 1,000 CUAV: 1,000 IMS: 320 (maybe 300?) Hind/Cobra: 2,000 AH-6: 2,000 Reaper: 2,000 Assault Drone: 1,000 Recon Drone: 280 Advanced UAV: 2,000 Turrets: 1,000 Care Package Helicopter: 400 (maybe more, maybe less) Ballistic Vests on the ground: 320 (maybe 300?)
The only two I couldn't get a real number was the Osprey and the Pave Low. The Pave Low proven to be really resistant, I used like 340 bullets of MG36 (with Blind Eye Pro!) to destroy a Pave Low, which corresponds to a whopping 21,760 health points.
For the Osprey, I think it's around 3,000-3,200, but I can't find a consistent number. Even once I got around 6,000, dunno why.
Also it seems that the Blind Eye Pro 1.6x multiplier isn't really the case. I use 50 bullets to take down an helicopter with my MG36, and I used 41 (instead of 32) with Blind Eye Pro. So it's a bit awkward.
So I'd love to see if some people can test that more in detail. ^^

I know the L86 deals 8 more damage than the MG36, but when I use the L86 & Blind Eye pro, I'm able to shoot down a Pavelow in ~55 bullets. And an Ospray Gunner in ~75. The L86 with Blind Eye has totally changed how I approach supporting my team, I no longer waste my time using missles (except against the AC-130). I love being the team's AA-whore

Uhhhh... The MG36 has 40 damage, and the L86 LSW has 38.
I obviously know that LMG + Blind Eye Pro is beastly against air killstreaks, but I'd love to know how they can resist against guns.

If I were you, I'd use RSASS + Silencer + Ext. Mags. 50 damage can be better to calculate those 300 values. And even though it is pretty hard to destroy them Pave Lols, it takes less than a mag here. Don't know what wrong with your tests.
Oh yeah, my bad, for some reason I was mixing up the guns, I never use the MG36. But anyway... When using Blind Eye & the L86, it hardly takes any bullets to destroy Air Support, yet the linkinito's quoted # of bullets seemed greater than mine; are you not playing on the Xbox?

By the way, all these numbers I found were with the MG36 WITHOUT Blind Eye Pro. Didn't made much tests with Blind Eye Pro.

Seems strange that someone would take more bullets to kill the Osprey Gunner than the Pavelow. According to my calculations, an Osprey Gunner should go down in ~65 Blind Eye L86 shots while the pavelow needs ~220. None of your results seem particularly consistent. Advise retesting (I don't have anything unlocked in splitscreen).
Assuming it's the same mechanic as MW1/2, yes. From the COD4 page:
The helicopter absorbs bullet damage, dropping all damage to 30%. After losing 500 points of its total 1100 health, the helicopter is "weakened" and bullets deliver full damage against it.
MW2 changed it so there isn't any armor at all, just all damage is reduced:
Both Helicopters have 1500 health, Chopper Gunner has one flare countermeasure. The Pave Low has one flare and 3000 health. Unlike the helicopter in COD4, these three will decrease bullet damage to 0.3x all the time.
