Black Ops 2 is introducing a higher scale sensitivity system, from 1-14 unlike other CoD's which were from 1-10. So my question is, what is the equivalent of lets say a 3 sensitivity from past CoD's (particularly MW3) on Black Ops 2 and so on and so forth. Toysrme has done some testing, so for reference: A 7 sensitivity on CoD4 is the equivalent of a 11 sensitivity on BO2. A 2 sensitivity on CoD4 is the equivalent of a 4 sensitivity on BO2. BO1 and BO2 use a different scale than all other CoDs.
BO2 uses the same scale as BO1, but with different graduations.
To convert from BO1 to BO2, multiply your sensitivity by 1.4 and round.

I find that MW3's "3" sensitivity is just about perfect for me. So what would be the equivalent to that on BO2? I'm guessing 5, since I'm assuming MW3 and CoD4's sensitivities are similar, and 4 on BO2 is the equivalent of 2 in CoD4. Although, I'm starting to think there's no direct equivalent. So I'm gonna have to settle for a happy medium :/

unless they changed the system BO1 and BO2 use a different scale than all other CoDs.

MQ is right. Vahn said that 14=10 in BO1 so just multiply by 1.4

I played the default sensitivity in BO. Is the default going to be the same in BO2 or am I going to have to waste time finding it/acclimating myself?

it's not entirely true. Aim Down Sight is the same rating as the scale shows. Medium=Default High=High Very High=Very High Insane=Insane hip fire is a large difference tho. the angular velocity at higher stick deflection rates are really nerfed. more importantly the deadzone has been screwed with. The verticle deadzone is same old same old. very small, circular & good. the HORIZONTAL deadzone has been massively increase. COD4: BO2: the inner circle is showing the circular deadzone for moving vertically. the lines on the outside are showing you the horizontal deadzone. it has grown MUCH larger. this affects your minimum look speed possible with a joystick and screws up your diagonal movements. (In the past COD's verticle and horizontal deadzones pretty much line up ontop of each other)

Since the minimum threshold for response is now wider? And how does CoD4 compare to MW3 in terms of aiming down sight speeds? So I can then figure out what would be the equivalent in BO2. Even though, I'll be playing around with 4-5 to find which one I like best. Cheers to everyone who has put there input on the matter.

welp. i never play with a controller but i hosed the campaign a week or so ago with a controller (which we all know i rarely use). i was comfortable as pie on a sensitivity of 7 and if i was more in practice with one I'd be running 8 on a standard controller. on a modified controller (longer joystick length), i'd prob run 10-12.
ya aiming down the sight left & right is a hair faster now. you can get it to run slowly, but it's much more work.

I don't know about other people, but after I played today on xbox for a few hours I found the BO2 sensitivity to be rather slow.
On MW3 I always ran a 3 and I was comfortable with that. Today on BO2 I had to ramp it up to 7 before I felt it was as fast and comfortable as what I am used to.

After hands-on playing time with the game I can say that 4 is NOT the equivalent to MW3's 3 sensitivity, I find 5 to be much more closer to it. And hip fire movement is definitely faster along with horizontal movements. So my guess is that the sensitivity velocities when going up or comparing to a non-BO CoD are not linear.

Thanks for the heads up and explanations. You guys are the best.
I am used to 7 (ps3) and I guess I will start out at 10 and see how it feels. As long as they have the legacy controller scheme back then I will be able to figure it out.
