You went something like 17-6. It was also a round where some guy accused me of cheating before ragequitting... and where I was the only guy on my team who was NOT a "sniper" Recon.

Eh, no point in ragequitting: the XP and cash bonus is generous enough even if you suck the whole round.
(That said, given the short period of this beta and odd operating hours, there's probably no way I'm getting a lvl 20 character to get that beta bonus.)
But, yes, the shotguns appear to be quite consistent and have surprising range. It's disappointing however that the lvl 5 shotgun appears to be better in every way compared to the Mossberg.

^ this. I had to quit a couple of matches due to lag, but I still got a generous match bonus.
Have to give the shotty a try, but quite liking the upgraded default assault rifle with the 1.5 scope. Best score was 19-13 or something, but some matches I was terribad! Smile inducing at times though

ahhh now i see it. the launcher says something about 5pm to 11pm GMT, so for me that means between 6pm to midnight CET. thanks bros.
i swear, this game..now it's time to try it out. it worked fine so far, it would of course only let me get into the options screen. now that the servers are actuallly up, whenever i try to start it it instantly minimizes itself to the task bar and refuses to be maximized >_<

Argh!
I've not suffered that problem, but seem to lose the connection to the servers from time to time. I can still run around in the game, but my enemies are still and take no damage. Then I die lol.

I lol'd at the "show the world how awesome you are as an Elite Ghost" bit; I'm not exactly proficient. It has taken me a little while to get used to the controls but it is beginning to click.
I have to say not a huge amount of Bro like discussion going on in the official forum, but I'm liking the serious gunfights that take place in this game. The map designs lend themselves to pitched battles and frontal assault/dogged defence, rather than the usual running and gunning and wtf moments you get in COD.
The big question is, will this game be Free 2 Play or Pay 2 Win? I'm really not sure about this; it does seem to be possible to accrue in game cash quite quickly, but I do note that there are abilities that seem to be available only with hard cash. Maybe I'm mistaken, but after my experience with Battlefield Play4free (sic) I can be forgiven for being a bit suspicious! We'll just have to see.

Before I clocked out last night, I checked the leaderboards and I was then in 7th place in most Shotgun Kills. Heck, I was in the top couple tens in many of the leaderboards. I'm aiming for the #1 spot in shotguns before this beta is out. Going to be a pain catching up to that [GM] in first.
Everything about this game has clicked instantly for me.

Some of costs are ridiculous, but it does appear that everything can be purchased with in-game money. Real money would make having a steady supply of consumables much easier though.
...and I had no idea that there even were leaderboards.

Even the cash shop has a spark of brilliance. Instead of the typical "cheap rental, expensive purchase" of other shooter shops, they make you buy grenades, magnum ammo and armor plates. As limited consumables, constantly getting refills will take a round or two's worth of RP (all of them combined even more). or a fraction of a dollar.
Because the grenades and stronger bullets are something with "value", their use will be more carefully calculated. At the same time, inserting Armor plates will give towards a bit more aggression for these deadlocks in the linear capture gametypes.
Since these little things cost so little (but just enough) RP while the actual weapons and gear are quite expensive, there's the fasting aspect where one would might want to hold off on buying ammo/grenades/plates to save up for the weapon/armor/ability... or just put down real money for them.
Hey Kotick, you said you wanted to sell bullets as a payment model - here it is. Give players normal ammo and then have players buy Stopping Power for X amount of shots.

Seems getting accolades like MVP and most captures at the end of the round gives towards lots of Loot. I've gotten loads of Rare and Legendary cases, so I haven't had to worry about Armor Plates, either. Was able to save up for the next tier of Body Armor and the ABAS ability (in advance so I can use it immediately at level 9) thanks to that.

Don't suppose this game has any "low graphics" settings? I don't exactly have a great PC, but this sounds like a lot of fun if my doodoo computer can run it.

I just photoshopped that on top; my icon was the same as ZeusJones' at the time (now it's a pistol).
The video options in game are limited to choosing predetermined levels of quality, though you should be able to alter the GraphicSettings.ini in the game folder.
Here are the changeable variables in the GraphicSettings.
