 MW3: September DLC info
« Thread Started on Jul 28, 2012, 1:06pm »

UPDATE:

The 3 maps will be released to premium members on 9/5. The final content collection (consisted of 5 MP maps) will be available on 9/6.

Here is a trailer for the last content collection, named "Final Assault":

----
http://www.charlieintel.com/2012/07/28/9....k-gulch-parish/

3 maps:

Boardwalk - Jersey shore amusement park, elevated main path set off by close quarter flanks

Gulch - Abandoned Utah mining settlement. Features an open layout and strong flanks

Parish - New Orleans under assault. Features fast paced matches with aboundant close quarter fighting

This is not 100% confirmed, but looks pretty real. Parish even have a game play video of Survival mode.

For August, there will be 2 Spec Ops missions (which nobody really cares about), and one "Classified" that is most likely to be a new game mode.

These look pretty cool, but they are coming a little bit too late. If everything is ready, they might as well release everything in August as well as the last Content Collection.

Jersey Shore, eh?

Other than that.. Wow, how many online multi maps(not counting faceoff ones) have been out? Must have been the most by far.

i second that witty.

the boardwalk's old wood planks look ripe for some tactical sound dudez(<<<word filter). looks like some sort of drug deal gone wrong in slide 3/4, which is fitting i guess. or maybe he's just turning a trick?

hopefully the utah map has some stoned hippie civilians hiking around(been there done that), or something interesting. i look forward to these once they figure out the lag thing(?).

MW3 DLC content:

1) Regular maps: 12 premium (9 released + 3 to be released) + 1 free (Terminal remake) = 13
2) Face Off maps: 5 premium + 2 free = 7
3) Spec Ops missions: 8 premium
4) Game modes: 1 premium (yet to be released) + 1 free (Face Off) = 2

Regarding Content Collection, if I were ActiVision I would bundle the last 4 months of stuff together (5 regular, 3 Face Off, 4 Missions, and 1 Game Mode) and sell for $20, and try to make that happen in August.

This might look a bit cheap, but that would make it attractive and as a result can sell more copies (without attractive pricing, most of the non-premium players would just skip it as September is already very close to BO2 release). Overall they should be able to make more profit.

I haven't even played the recent maps from two weeks ago.

Still haven't played two of the face off maps yet either.

UPDATE:

The 3 maps will be released to premium members on 9/5. The final content collection (consisted of 5 MP maps) will be available on 9/6.

Here is a trailer for the last content collection, named "Final Assault":

This also means that all of these maps will be part of the regular playlist rotation starting on 9/6.

I love how they weren't showing MP7s nor ACRs to simulate weapon variety. :L

Pretty gutted to find out that this final DLC drop is avail Wed 5/9 (or 9/5 for you US bros) but then the Final Assault package with all the five new MP maps is out Thurs 6/9 (9/6). One day of playing the three new maps; Parish, Boardwalk and Gulch is not my idea of receiving content early having paid a premium to do so. I would like at least two weeks to play the maps and pawn some noobs.... one day wtf!

poor aa12 :(. He tried to clear out a room with two people in but we all know how that turns out so they just cut to the next clip before he died. Then the only other time we see it, is shooting some guy in the back who was completely oblivious. It was like those two clips were the best they could get with the gun
