It was speculated earlier that your triangle on the mini map changes color to indicate that Ghost is in effect.

Megaqwerty is correct. When you have ghost equpped your own triangle on the mini map will fade out when you are "cloaked". Crouch walking cloaks as well as ADS walking on some guns. Also you have to walk(push nearly full forward on joystick) about 10 yards to go from "uncloaked" back to "cloaked."
ADS Walking: Cloaked: SMG: All the time Shotgun: All the time AR: ONLY W/ Stock Attachment LMG: ONLY W/ Stock Attachment
Uncloaked: AR: Without Stock Attachment LMG: Without Stock Attachment Sniper Rifles: All the time Launchers: All the time Crossbow: All the time
ADS CROUCH Walking Cloaked: Only weapons with stock attachment except LMG;s
Uncloaked: Weapons w/o stock attachment and LMG's w/ stock

Wowee, LMGs can't make good use of Geist without the stock attachment.
Wait a minute, don't these weapons already have stocks on them? And how is a quickdraw handle any different from a grip? And why the fuck is there still a red dot sight and an EOTech at the same time? And why can't 3arc get the name extended mag right?

rubixx, thanks for the thoroughness. I wonder if the same parameters apply to keeping a player without Cold-Blooded off of the MMS.

Coldblooded says it makes you resistant to those forms of targeting systems so I assume you never show up as a silhouette at all.

Oh derp...the MMS scans at ~1 sec intervals but it shows a movement of the player, not just a static image, so moving back and forth wouldn't keep you off of it. The person with the MMS would be able to see you moving back and forth every second or so if that makes sense.

I thought it only detected stationary targets. Huh.
Well that's malarkey.

It isn't too OP. It can only see through 1 layer of solid material. So it only penetrates 1 wall, car, bus, crate etc. Also the attachments slot competition should help alleviate overuse of it.

How is the target finder/dual band rubix?
I'm hoping they are good for blind people like me's sake.

About 1.5-2 seconds of stationary/slow moving(see above) time.

I realize Ghost won't work if one is stationary. Got that. And if you push your stick forward, walk about 10m, you can get your Ghost perk working again. The rest? Stock attachment?

What's a stock attachment? Why is that needed?

Certain weapon classes need attachments to be cloaked by ghost (ghost having an "active" effect) while ads walking, crouch walking, or both.
For example....all ARs need stock (stalker) in order to have an active ghost effect while ADS walking/strafing.

Oh I see. I was confused on the lingo there, using the term 'stock'. Adjustable Stock attachment, ~ stalker. Got it. That really puts a hit on Ghost users lol. Not only is the perk nerfed a little, but they need to use an attachment slot too, to also hide walking. gosh darn golly gee whiz.
I have no clue how people would figure this sh1t out on their own, just playing the game. One almost needs a freaking class to play this game.

Your minimap indicates if Ghost is active or not. That's pretty intuitive.

Haha iw5k you crack me up sometimes. You go so in depth with analysis on gameplay etc yet sometimes you struggle understanding the "simple" parts of the game. I'm not knocking on you at all, it just makes me chuckle .

Just got thrown for a loop.
