i thought it slightly reduced recoil. according to http://symthic.com/?s=bf3&sb=attach it dosnt, but according to the patch notes "The Flash Suppressor now also works as a recoil compensator, reducing the Vertical Recoil by a weapon specific value. This bonus is larger than the bonus provided by the Suppressor." it does.
or has the charts not been updated?

So yeah, the attachment charts havent been updated yet
I think flash suppressor lowers vertical recoil by 20% for all weapons, the hipfire penalty is different for each one (and the lmgs don't have a hipfire penalty at all)

the recoil reduction varies from gun to gun, and for many of the weapons there is no recoil reduction.
