now come on man, he even gave this a hey guy board.

EDIT: Though now that I think about it, a general off topic board would be pretty nice here, but that's just because I like screwing around I guess.

EDIT 2: This topic is now about the discussion of this thingy

I, personally, think that it uses stars for ammo. This thing looks plain scary.

Also, MMOFPS? does that work?

EDIT 3: Will be available on steam

Vanu Soverignty VSH7 Fission
It fires something comparable to those energy blasts in Japanese cartoons. Not unlike this. A little more green than that, not as much electricity..

I can explain the mechanics as a Planetside 1 veteran.

The game itself revolves around an "endless" war, in gaming terms. There is always action going on, and it may or may not be in the same locations everytime you log in. The battlefield always shifts in a way. In PS1 they used bases, outposts, and lattice links to indicate territory. PS2 uses a new hex system.

An example would be when myself and about 200 people were retaking Esamir. I was part of a Galaxy dropteam of 24, and we did this for about 3 hours straight. I logged off after that, and when I logged back in, we went from a stalemate of 50% control to about 90%, and we are just cleaning up stragglers. However, while this was happening, one of the empires opened up a new spearhead in a different continent.

Taking continents grant your entire empire bonuses. You can also lock a continent from invasion, though I don't remember what the criteria is for this.

As far as the image goes, that looks like a revised Lancer anti-vehicle weapon for the Vanu Sovereignty. According to the PS2 Wiki: "The Fission VSH7 is the Vanu Sovereignty's main anti-vehicle weapon. It fires slow plasma projectiles using lock-on technology." The Lancer did not have a lock-on, but the projectiles traveled fast. Looks like everyone's going to be on equal footing this time.
