I've been trawling around but have been unable to find much about Beta dates on the official website. Any news?
Applied for the Beta early this year; anyone in yet?

The closed Beta is alleged to start...
Tomorrow.
Tech Testers (guys playing already right now) are immediately in the beta. Like me.
Planetside 1 veterans and current Planetside 1 subscribers get in almost immediately.
Mixed in with them will be those who have acquired Beta keys will get in periodically next.
Lastly, those who have simply applied will get in later.
This is no "demo" beta the likes of which most modern "betas" go.
The PS2 beta may likely go on for several weeks using builds far from the complete thing, with the huge amount of would-be beta testers being invited gradually over that period.

They actually said today or tomorrow, so that leaves us with tomorrow. Of course, this was told to us with the condition that nothing is wrong with the beta.

it started yesterday. active ps1 subscribers are already in.
They use twitter to relay a lot of development info. I don't use it myself, but i watch the planetside universe forums and everything quickly surfaces on there. Great source of info if you're following the game.

*edit* it actually started tuesday. they released the client monday but had server issues.

News on full release date: received an email offering me beta access for $39.99 and spotted this at the bottom of the email:
"The Alpha Squad package will be available for purchase for a limited time only, until one week before we launch PlanetSide 2, on or before December 31, 2012"
