I swore I was done doing this after MW2... BO... MW3... Once again we're doing a quick & dirty run down! So we're here13-14 days before launch, that's almost as bad as the MW2 launch fudge-up where the game was leaked 5 weeks early LoL! As always, this is a rough guide from the best player you know. Quick & dirty testing; everything is subject to being wrong. I also highly recommend an XIM for testing. It's not just for slamming console players, the mouse interface allows testing of look mechanics AND pixel precise shooting at any range. Menus: - Big change is that the look mechanic scale has changed. Now it is 1-14 instead of 1-10. We'll take a look at look mechanics later tonight to get some specifics
As with all 3A titles, audio options are included. Music, announcer & basic EQ pre-sets
- Booting/new menus are slower, Bo/MW3 style instead of quick loading & simple cod4/5/6
- It's my believe that like BO, the game is testing your bandwidth (doing the bandwidth race) as soon as the game boots to the main menu. Because of this I also suspect that they still have the potential be doing matchmaking server bans. (Not banning from XBL/PSN, but simply keeping your profile/xbox from connecting to their server to find online matches)

Id like to know how the various scopes effect recoil. Ex. In blops, ACOG increased recoil, in MW3, it didnt.

If you have time:
1) Screenshots/camera-shots of bullet-marks on walls with various guns, to see default recoil. And then with Fore-grip.
2) Starting with one Lethal and one Tactical equipment, does Scavenger let you carry two of each after picking up blue-packs?
3) Can you pick a Shield up from the front-side of a planted shield?
4) How does placing a shield at the top of a ladder affect the way you reach to top of a ladder you climb?
5) Does a shield that you plant disappear after a period of time, even if you did not die?
6) What are your thoughts of SMG-damage dropping off at long ranges vs past CoDs?
7) How many pieces of equipment can be planted simultaneously? I have seen people plant two Shock Charges. I have not yet seen videos of people planting two Betties/Claymores. I am assuming you can plant up to 4 pieces of gear.

Woo, it's Toysrme time again! Here is my wish list, anything you can get to would be AWESOME:
A.) Number of shots for weapons to kill at point blank and at max range (except shotguns of course) - same thing you did last year pretty much.
B.) RPM - if possible, but not as vital as A.
C.) The effects of SELECT FIRE. Does damage, or anything else for that matter, change?
D.) How does Hardline work exactly. Is it the proposed 20% boost (to all actions?) or just cutting down the score required for streaks?
E.) Sensor Grenades - how long do they last?
F.) Assault Shield - how resilient are they once they are placed down? Also, if you place them in a door way, does it effectively block the door?
G.) How much equipment can you have down at one time? Is it like MW2 where you could only put down 2x Claymores max? What about having 2x Claymores AND 2x Shocks down (or more)? Also, does all equipment still last until death?
H.) Do you get hitmarkers for Shocks/Flash/Concussion like in BO1?

Major look mechanic changes. Be afraid. Be very afraid! this is just hip-fire sup with the acceleration curve??? Oh, and the deadzone size has increased, and the rounded corners are more pinched. That's not good... sigh. looks like ill be re-testing the entire look mechanic. no offense, guys im really pressed for time. requests are limited. especially RPM and the like: 1) i no longer capture video, i burned all of mine up recording the video streams from my R/C airplanes (FPV Flying, think RC-XD in real life) 2) console isn't the best at determining RPM as FPS can drop from 60fps to 48-54fps (depending on console & which game you're talking). it also requires capturing the process several times & counting frames. More on the menu's. the first menus take forever. actually loading the maps is faster than it's ever been. like, obviously faster than it's ever been. btw, the last shotgun shoots one slug.

that is a pro question from one of the few players on here that really knows his stuff!
it'll be interesting because you can pick and choose what to run now. you can gain/give up anything in your inventory to run an extra piece. so you can drop a gun attachment and double up on that perk slot. the balance with that will be fun & intriguing on the high skill end as the game plays out for a couple months. there are many very IMBA attachment/perk combinations, but it remains... "situationally balanced" because you have to give up so much to get things. my feeling ATM is that high skill players people will give up something to run both in competitive matches.
difficult to answer right now as there's no MP. word yesterday (t-14) was that the match making servers were on, however since i've been mulling around with it today (t-13) the servers have been offline. my guess is that they didn't expect such a huge leak. a stupid mistake as Acc0rd works at UPS and has been sending us pics of BO2 shipments for 10 days? 2 weeks? far earlier than normal. (As early as the mw2 release!)

im going to wind up spending a LOT of time on this look mechanic...
this look mechanic sucks for much of the same reason games like halo & BF suck. *the low speed isn't low anymore! cod4-8 lets you look around so slow the image is just pixels shifting one pixel over seconds, minutes even. this POS is way faster than that. practical purposes COD4-8 is 1* per second of rotation. this POS is more like 4* per second exactly like BF or gaylo. *it's not as fast at the high end as previous COD's (BO-1 withstanding). its a hair slower. tho still really fast. *it seems like... i can't put my finger on it because it goes by soooo fast (still easily exceeds 900*/second of rotational speed), but it's like the speed ramps up for a couple tenths of a second at higher deflections. not as bad as BF or valve games tho. honestly i think it's an optical illusion because i was testing on an LCD TV instead of a crt tv i traditionally use. never know tho. it really could have a little rotational/time based acel in it.

I want to reconfirm if the SVU-AS really gets no OSOK to the head with a silencer. If it doesn't, then the whole 3 sniper rifles getting no damage reduction with a silencer, has to be a bug.

It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever that the other 3 sniper rifles get no damage drop off, but the SVU-AS does. The SVU-AS normally DOES OSOK to the head w/out a silencer. This was shown via Aftermath video. And again, I think no damage drop off is awfully powerful and gives no drawback to using a silencer, which doesn't sound right to me. I don't even expect the SVU-AS to OSOK with a silencer, and I've said it for days now before the testing from the reddit guy. But enough about that. It's just plain inconsistent.

No class is better off using Tac Mask than Marathon or Ninja. Well I guess if you're playing against scrandoms Ninja might be kind of useless, but then again fuck that because you can hear other people way more easily. Tac Mask is super situational.
And Second Chance is good (but extremely dishonorable in this player's opinion) if you've got teammates to consistently pick you up. Otherwise it's a throwaway perk that will occasionally give you a lucky awesome but has nothing resembling the consistent positives of Ninja or Marathon.

the beginnings of some weapon data. im fried for the night. ill give you the pellet count, but im way to lazy to start doing shotgun damage scales... let snake-x or somebody do that later lulz. in other news. i pulled out a stopwatch, and no. the ROF is not correct on much. gives you an idea tho. (again, console and a stopwatch is crap for ROF. you really need to be hacked/offline, staring at a wall on the edge of a map & running a legit 60fps AND capturing AND frame counting if you want a true ROF) i will stick with the 5x7 shooting 545 tho. it just sings on my 545 macro. the semi AR's like my old 180/325rpm macros i use to shoot the M14 with in cod4 too. sexy. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Anjq3Adc2gXidDl3aHlzOHY5ZlZZWjRjbFlLNzRScFE

For ARs and SMGs, I am surprised at how different some of the recoil results are for the same gun, from one magazine to the next. And sometimes, mid-fire, the pattern will jump as if the guy hit his controller-stick.
