Hi there,
since I like to use my perks and stuff to reduce random deaths, I did some tests on scorestreaks. After all that testing, I thought I might as well share the results. Some of it is common knowledge, but I wrote it down anyway, sicne it helps to decide which scorestreaks are the most effective and therefore worth selecting. For the actual mathematical effectiveness of scorestreaks go check out and contribute to this thread.
Edit: Added required score and short descriptions.
Here we go:
UAV - 425
Just like in pretty much every other CoD.
Countered by: Ghost
Destroyed by: 1 AA Missile, 1 Hunter Killer Drone
RC-XD - 450
Same as in BO1.
Countered by: Flak Jacket (unless they drive directly into you)
Destroyed by: EMP Grenade. Stun and Flash Grenades have an effect on the RC-XD, but won't destroy it. Shock Charges have no effect.
Hunter Killer Drone - 525
Basically an airborne RC-XD which targets and attacks an enemy player, UAV or Counter UAV by itself.
Countered by: Blind Eye, Trophy System, running inside
Destroyed by: 1 AA Missile. You can also shoot it with your gun, just like an RC-XD. It’s just much more difficult to hit.
Care Package - 550
Just like in previous CoDs.
Destroyed by: 1 AA Missile shot at the helicopter before it drops. Can be hacked using the Engineer perk or the Black Hat PDA. The PDA also allows you to access a Care Package if it fell onto a rooftop or the like. (Edit: I tested this again after the discussion below, and you can throw your own Care Package out of the map and then acess it with the Black Hat PDA! Do not throw it too far though, or it might be out of your PDAs range.)
Counter UAV - 600
Just like in previous CoDs.

Destroyed by: 1 AA Missile, 1 Hunter Killer Drone
Guardian - 650
A microwave turret which disorients and eventually kills enemies in front of it. Lasts maximal 4 minutes.
Countered by: Engineer (highlights it through the map)
Destroyed by: 1 EMP Grenade, 2 locked-on rockets
Hellstorm Missile - 700
Similar to the Predator Missile, but you can decide to split your rocket into smaller ones which will lock on to enemies within a certain area.
Countered by: Cold Blooded (removes the red targeting assist and prevents lock on), (Flak Jacket), running inside. Throwing down a Trophy System won’t save you, except the Hellstorm Missile is used like a regular Predator Missile.
One single bullet will destroy the Hellstorm Missile if you manage to hit it before it gets split into the cluster bombs.
Lightning Strike - 750
Somewhat similar to a Mortar from BO1, but the shells are dropped by fighter jets and therefore arrive at their target destination much quicker.
Countered by: Ghost (You won’t show up as a little red dot on the map when the Lightning Strike is called in), (Flak Jacket)
Sentry Gun - 800
Just like in previous CoDs. Lasts maximal 4 minutes.
AI or player controlled
Countered by: Cold Blooded removes red target assist if player controlled. Engineer highlights it through the map.
Destroyed by: 1 EMP Grenade, 2 locked-on rockets. Unlike the Guardian, the Sentry can be destroyed quite easily using 2 Tomahawks or sticking it with Semtex twice.
Death Machine (850) & War Machine (900)
Death Machine from BO1. War Machine is a semi-auto N00b Tube. Both last until all ammo is used, even if you die in the meantime.
No real counters. Even Flak Jacket won’t really help against the War Machine.
Dragonfire - 975
Drone with machine gun mounted to it. Flies close to the ground, like the Recon Drone from MW3.

Countered by: Cold Blooded removes red target assist, hiding inside
Destroyed by: 1 AA Missile
A.G.R. - 1000
Basically a Sentry Gun with legs and rocket launchers mounted to it. An AI controlled A.G.R. actively seeks out enemies, just like the K9 Unit / Dogs from BO1. Lasts maximal 2 minutes.
AI or player controlled
Countered by: Cold Blooded (removes red target assist if player controlled), (Flak Jacket). Engineer won’t highlight the AGR. It is however quite slow and can be outrun easily.
Destroyed by: 2 EMP Grenades, 3 locked-on rockets
Stealth Chopper - 1100
Attack Chopper from previous CoDs, but it doesn't appear on the enemy Minimap.

Orbital VSAT - 1200
SR-71 from BO1.
Countered by: Counter UAV, EMP Systems
Escort Drone - 1250
Similar to the AH-6 Overwatch from MW3.

Just like the Reaper from MW3.

Gunship from BO1 with simplified controls. Upon your command it will simply position itself above the enemies.

All you can do is shoot them. I didn’t test how many dogs are on the battlefield at one time or how many are in reserve.
Swarm - 1900
Tons Hunter Killer Drones swarm and patrol the map for a certain amount of time.
AI controlled
Countered by: Blind Eye, hiding inside
The Swarm doesn’t seem to have many upsides over the K9 Unit. It’s harder to get and can be countered easily. The only benefit it has over the dogs is that it will destroy all enemy UAVs and Counter UAVs.
Conclusions:
Use Flak Jacket, Blind Eye and Cold Blooded to avoid random deaths through low scorestreaks such as the Hunter Killer Drone. This perk combination will also spare you from getting owned by most high scorestreaks.
UAV, Counter UAV, Orbital VSAT and EMP Systems are excellent support for the team.
In objective game modes such as Domination or Hardpoint, the Guardian, the Sentry and the A.G.R. are a real pain in the ass. You will have to destroy them, since there is no perk that grants you immunity to them.
The Warthog is an unstoppable beast.
I’d take dogs over a Swarm.
