The Black Hat is one of the most versatile pieces of equipment in BO2. It can hack, destroy, or capture all sorts of ordinance in game.
I've compiled three of my top secrets with this equipment:
If you don't have time to watch, the three secrets are:
3) Remotely capturing enemy care packages.
2) Injuring or killing an enemy with his own equipment.
1) Stealing friendly care packages.
Do you have any other Black Hat tactics to share?

You can use it on killcams and narrate as "Searching for faggots..." with a robotic voice.
Really though, the only extra thing I know about it is that you may be able to get your own care package this way, but I'm not sure. Some people say it isn't possible, some say it is.
By doing that, you could call a care package in unreachable places so nobody would be able to steal it.

I black-hatted my care package on the map "Carrier" after accidentally dropping it on the highest part of the aircraft carrier bridge.

Oh also, the enemy does know when you've hacked their equipment. They get a guy saying "Your equipment has been hacked" or something along on those lines when it happens.

Not really because in the case of things like Betty's/Shocks/Claymore's, the other FIVE members of their team DON'T know they've been hacked and are easy prey...

Hadn't thought of that... but that silly thing wasn't going make me give up on the PDA

So what's your guys' standings on the stealing of friendly care packages? Whatever is best for the team. Better I get it than the other team. But if my bro is ready to pick it up, I'll post up to cover him.

I feel so dirty when I steal my teammates packages. When you hear an enemy call in a care package, if you can target their helicopter fast enough, u can take out the chopper. I have not been able to confirm whether or not the package still drops, but I imagine it is very difficult to take out the chopper before the package drops.
First post.
You are my bro, bro.

Pretty annoying when your teammate can pick up your CP before you even can, they need to patch that aspect. If I'm waiting and they take it then fuck them, and I'll leave them to die rather than support them from then on in the game. If I'm on the other side of the map then who cares, I hope my team gets it before the other team.
Seriously tho, teammates being able to pick it up faster than you needs to be patched. Otherwise it's fun and I like leaving a CP for the other team to go for, then picking it up from under their nose and killing them immediately.

I tested this out in a local match with Hardline and Black Hat.
In FFA modes, the Black Hat doesn't get you your own package, however, in team modes, it does

as always, Tmart posts a video about the same thing right after y260... what do we do? Chill man. I really think it was a coincidence. He posted it a couple of hours after my video. And given that it can take me several weeks to produce a video, I doubt he could produce his in a matter of hours. Plus, he's pretty good about giving credit. He credited me with the XM-25 find, remember?
