I've been playing a lot with the KSG and it feels like there is the slightest delay from when it feels like you are fully ads'd and when the ads bonus is applied. Very similar to BO1 snipers. Can any one else confirm this or prove this wrong? Do all guns have this and I only notice on this because its semi auto?

megaqwerty helped me by pointing out that we have to keep in mind the ADS delay - a 0.2 second window for which you have to stand still before (or while?) ADSing in order to be accurate immediately. If you move while aiming down your sights, you'll have to wait for those 0.2 seconds before getting an accurate shot off.
Believe me, I've been in the same boat with the KSG until I was reminded of this. I guess your best bet is to pre-ADS when turning corners and such, or, if that's not possible/feasible, stand still while ADSing.

does quick draw shorten this .2 delay or just shorten the animation before the .2 delay? Also, does this delay kick in after the pump animation each time? or is this me not having host and trying to run and gun?
Starting to think quick draw / stock is an answer for this.

It is ADSin + 0.2 delay. Quickdraw shortens the ADSin, but not the delay.

just watched my videos, apparently I ads in shoot ads out, ads back in then shoot again, penalizing myself twice.
Need to work on my play style and ads, shoot, confirm dead, then ads out.

Let's resume the Ksg, bros:
1-If you want to ads enemies, you die because of the Ads Bonus delay, even with a foregrip. 2-If you want to use hip-fire, you die because of the only ONE slug, even with the laser.
Useless weapon in his actual state.

Stock and tactical loitering hard points is the niche. makes them rage.

The gun will be largely useless until they fix the moving ADS delay. It makes me laugh when these devs try to implement these "realistic" features into a game that is overwhelmingly arcade-style. Just let it be 100% arcade for gods sake. When I want those kind of features I go play Battlefield.

With laser, the KSG is incredibly formidable in CQC.
Regarding ADSing, ADS as you round the corner.

In my opinion, the bad part is not them implementing these sorts of delays to 'nerf' certain moves that would otherwise interfere with overall gameplay balance. Rather, I think they're simply poorly implemented in that there is no indication on when your gun becomes 100% accurate (same thing for the crouch/prone delay). I can only imagine how frustrating it has to be for new / less savvy players than us who have no idea why their KSG isn't hitting where they are aiming. Even I get mad when I miss a well-aimed shot because I miscalculated (or simply forgot about) those 0.2 seconds.

It's much more noticeable in BO2 than other past COD games. Probably stronger too.

That doesn't invalidate my point (being that not providing any visual cue whatsoever is poor game design in my opinion). If you wish, I'll take back the notion of a 'nerf' though .

In my opinion, game should go old school Battlefield and show your spread at all times.
BF2142 and prior showed the gun's spread at all times, even when sighted.
(This also allows a convenient solution to MW3's sway problem: physically moving the gun onscreen is bandwidth intensive. Showing a cone of fire, even when sighted, is not. To simulate MW3's growing sway over time, the cone of fire could expand over time.)

It's the exact same mechanic as hip spread, only when sighted, much like how shotguns function and how guns prior to CoD4 functioned (which is how we know that it could be implemented and works just fine).

Especially since it'd allow finer tweaking of individual weapon classes - i.e. making SMGs actually less accurate at long range.

In CoD2, SMGs had static 0.2 degree spread when sighted for that reason.

Do all weapons have this delay? It could be the cause of 'hitmarker lag'.

If you were moving prior to initiating the ADS In, yes.
