Equiptment/scorestreak rewards don't glow red through smoke grenades.
I'm pretty sure some people must have noticed this by now but just though I should point it out.

Yes. That's why it's still convenient when not paired with Black Hat or EMP, not to mention it's ability to booby trap and reroll care packages.
Now that i think about it, engineer's probably as imba as CB used to be.

Now, that said, I'm not a rusher either, so Dexterity, Extreme Conditioning, and Tactical Mask don't really have utility for me.

I thought engineer only rerolled care packages as a bonus. If it indeed does delay traps then this could be important. With this information I have 2 questions.
1) What about killstreaks? Are they still seen by engineers in smoke? (sentry, gaurdian) 2) Can the killstreaks A.I. see through the smoke and kill the players? (sentry, robot)

Thermal sight doesn't work through smoke either.
I was so disappointed when I created a thermal crossbow class with smoke grenades, with the idea of tossing smoke near objectives and abusing the crossbow for easy kills -- not having to use my primary for the dirty work.
*Sigh*
...
Oh.
Someone HAS to test the target-finder through smoke.
Seriously. It's not even formed as a question. It has to be done, nao.

The WHOLE POINT of thermal gunsights is so they can see in the dark and through smoke. What the crap, Cray Trey?

Are you sure they didn't have Cold Blooded? With CB and Smoke, they can hide from the dual scope.

I tried in a private match, and I could not see a thing through the smoke with the dual band. Nothing. Ever.
Walking through the smoke reveals people on the other side.

Wow, that's too bad. Hope they fix it, it's already unlocked very late too.

I think Dual Band still works through smoke when used on snipers -- it did in my experience, anyway. Sounds like a damn shame, otherwise.
But said-Betties will still get delayed by said-Engineer. :3 Are we sure about this? If yes this would be another lesser known fact.
I thought this would be common knowledge by now, seeing how it's mentioned in the create-a-class menu.

Just saw a video, Dual Band indeed does work through smoke.
Crisis averted.
