(Note: this is an effort for a collaboration based map guide. All I am doing is to start the thread and include an overhead map with callouts. Hopefully other bros can chime in by posting their insights using the callouts, and organically grow this thread into a useful discussion). Hardpoint location:

Wouldn't it be easier to say A- or C-Walkway instead of Arrivals/Departures?

Wouldn't it be easier to say A- or C-Walkway instead of Arrivals/Departures? Definitely. For a symmetric map like this, it would be best to refer to everything that has a mirror part with A- / C-.

Interesting map.
I avoid hanging out on A/C-Bridge for long, because there's always people either running through, or sniping at you from Office.
In fact, I think this is a hard map to hang out in any area for terribly long, because it always feels like there's someone coming from whichever direction you're not checking.
The Bridges, Office, and the tops of the trains almost always seem to be occupied, but I don't see as many people *in* the trains.
I like to sweep the Hut area coming from Info, and then usually break off to whichever Stairs doesn't seem to have my team closest to it.

IMHO... a great map if they made it bigger.
As in, take the current layout, but make it almost a full circle.
It's too small

Tac insert and two betties and a Mk-48 with zoom and a suppressor. Make it your office. You can even rock a flack jacket and tac mask in there....I'd go with scavenger to replenish betties or nosecond perk and a pistol for cqc when enemies try to breach... The zoom scope with a supressor allows me to take out snipers on and around the A/C bridge...

The way I play this map is I patrol from A Bridge to C Bridge, occasionally moving through the "Info" part and around the walkways. In other words, I never go outside.

Express? Stop dat train, un-gay colors and it could be in COD4 ... no, it could not, it would be deleted or never created by that team.
Generally speaking "symmetry", that might be considered as kind of "art" anyway, is wrong way in designig maps in COD games.
Strike, Crash, Crossfire, etc, all the best COD maps were asymmetric... but balanced. "Balanced asymmetry" in COD maps is great, mirror-maps - unfortunatelly not.

I don't mind symmetry, but I do dislike how utterly ineffective most killstreaks are on Express.

Did not realize many players hate this map, it is one of the maps I like to vote for when coming up. Now I think of it, it is probably due to the fact that I don't get to see and play it much.
In Domination the MIDDLE TRAIN is crucial when trying to cap B. If controlled by the enemy, capping = suicide. One way to get rid of these guys is MMS-assisted wall banging from BLUE or RED.
"Window shoppers" at A-BRIDGE / C-BRIDGE / OFFICE, and players who like to be on top of A-TRAIN and C-TRAIN are annoying. A-BRIDGE <-> A-STAIRS <-> HUT <-> C-STAIRS <-> C-BRIDGE patrol is a good way to keep them under control.

Damn near even Domination setup. I find it one of THE hardest B flags to capture, considering it's got near 360 degrees of coverage. I agree with witty, the "Middle Train" and the area below the B Flag, on the tracks, are absolutely vital to controlling the map, much more than controlling the "Hut." The "Hut" sees far too much traffic to hold down consistently. I will say in general, an Assault Shield + Trophy System rush to B at the start of the match has virtually never failed me, as most public opponents like to rush to "Red" or "Blue" or take the long back way to "Info." At that point it's usually as simple as facing Red or Blue and blocking a few shots. Very few people go through the middle on the train tracks, from what I see.
As an SMG user, patrolling the "Hut" and working towards the enemy flag directly through their camp zone can work well. Turning a corner on Red or Blue is often a death sentence for them. I don't particularly like going to the Bridges, or at least, staying near them or going into them. The stair headglitches the Bridges have are absolutely unbeatable, so avoiding that avoids a lot of needless deaths.

Well. It IS definitely one of the worst maps. There is NOT ONE spot you can observe the map from for more than 2 seconds without risking getting shot from the side, the other side or the back. The map employs the same NOTORIOUS bad design that is based on denial of overview / information. Stand on A bridge, and there is absolutely no way what so ever to ensure nobody comes up the A stairs from B, run up the Departures gate and get you in the back. Randomly spawn on A 4 seconds after a teammate spawned there. Comes through the train and up the stairs from A. There's ALWAYS three ways to flank you. I don't use SMGs. ALL my opponents ALWAYS outpace me, and there is NO OVERVIEW to defend myself and we are denied situational awareness at all times, being forced to ALWAYS, ALWAYS run ahead. I feel like I cannot EVER escape -- that 75% of my deaths comes from enemies running up to me from behind or the side, or randomly tactically loitering in a random corner waiting for me to pass by. Especially inside the trains, inside the hut, The best way to play this map, and the entire game, is to just rush in a group of 3, tight formation, guns blazing. Seriously. Just hip-fire at all times with a PDW57 with laser sight and fast mags, in a formation of 3, with scavenger. At all times. Aim at the next point of interest and spam the trigger. At all times. Literally: NEVER release the trigger. ... I did something similar in CoD4; I used an M60 with sleight of hand in team deathmatch while watching TV, spinning around in cirlces while holding the trigger. 12 deaths. 2 kills.

One interesting capping spot for A-Dom (C-Dom) is the tip of the A -Train (C-Train) right below the window of A-Bridge (C-Bridge). It is safer to do it here than staying on the tracks.

Terrible map, should've been called Trashcan. Can't go anywhere on this map without someone tactical loitering behind one.

I like this map, because in order to get B, you have to have control of 3 points of contention. This map is effectively broken up into 6 pieces. Left Center and Right. Then A/C sides.
In order to take B (dom) you need to have control of Office, The ring around hut, and the train track the the train goes on with the nearby blue/red areas.
Of these...particular note in power goes to office and hut ring. Office gives you sightline covering the all important middle train. If you prevent enemies from going in behind your teammates in middle train, you can effectively lock down B. Office also gets sightlines on opposing flags and can warn teammates heading from the bridges to the stairs (and to hut).
The Hut is easy to get killed in, but the ring around it is important for controlling the map.
