M93 is more it the general upwards direction than FAMAS. It's like MP5 vs. AK-74u. They are about the same, but different. I just regard M93 as higher because it has a true general direction and therefore is easier to control.

speaking from experience on console (xbox360):

the raffie is nowhere near as good as the fam16, for a lot of reasons.

- less aim assist range
- no ADS zoom // worse penetration stats
- more recoil
- mis-aligned iron sights?
- effective loss of an attachment (raffica extended mags would fairly be compared vs m16 holo, famas tube, etc.)
Yeah, that must be another console difference. Aim assist ofc isn't on the PC, and any kind of zoom is redundant. Worse penetration stats and shorter mags applies to both of course, and yeah, that's a bummer. Misaligned sights as well. More recoil I'm not sure of, I seem to land three hits at very long ranges. It's just that with recoil that low and tight hip spread, it doesn't feel like it is outperformed by the FAM16, to me at least.

range is more like this: FAMAS > M16 >>>>>>>> Rarffica, thats why I have had some succes with the famas/M16 unsilenced + LW but not with the raffie + CB

The Raffie might have the edge in CQB because it has handgun ADS which means it has no zoom, but it's lightning fast and you can walk around at more or less full speed. In CQB on console even the zoom of ADS can work against you since it reduces your sensitivity and that makes it harder to quickly shift your aim around.

Personally I've actually had plenty of success with my FAMAS or M16 even in close quarters, but I also usually am having that success either defending a position or moving in on an known enemy position. In either case it's usually me vs enemies where we both already know the basic location of each other and are totally prepared to kill, but being able to 1 burst kill like that tends to make quick work of people, even then. For a more typical CQB run and gun scenario where a threat could come from any direction at any moment and even then you want to stay more mobile, then I'd have to say the Raffie does have an advantage over it's AR big brothers.

The thing that's nice about that pistol ADS is tight as the hip spread is it still is hip spread, but the Raffie ADS's so fast compared to an AR that there's really no reason you can't ads just before you shoot and get the tight burst spread practically for free.

Also as for the SPAS I think that where SP is really helping get 1HK's at greater distances is probably not as much with dead on shots as with slightly off aim shots. SP on shotties basically does the same thing as it does for the other guns, it takes 1 fewer hit to kill, only it's 1 less pellet rather than 1 less bullet. That does help you get some extra distance, but in core it's not huge. On the other hand it makes the weapon much more forgiving, thus getting you kills you otherwise wouldn't have when you were not quite on target and thus landed 1 too few pellets to kill.

So I can see how SP would be handy, even on the SPAS, though unless you're using the SPAS for a primary I wouldn't really worry about it too much.
