anyways, i was doing these for my own personal reference, but i thought everyone might enjoy them MP5 UZI - GRIP SPECTRE AK74U - no grip AK74U - GRIP AUG FAMAS HK LMG as you can see the uzi has doo-doo recoil even with a "grip" which is actually a stalk. the 74 with grip has considerably less recoil than the mp5 (no surprise there, grip much?) interestingly, the grip doesn't seem to have much effect on the 74's kick. the AUG on the other hand, is better rounded than the FAMAS, although for the most part the famy seems to kick straight up, shouldn't be too hard to compensate for.

Grip adds to center speed. Because of the slightly random element of recoil in CoD games it is still possible to get unlucky, but it is better to get unlucky with a grip equipped than it is to get unlucky without a grip equipped.

Before going all out, is there a place with higher contrast for the testing? I like the idea of that symbol on the wall to show spread relative to each gun but the grey on grey is sort of hard to see.

...These pics are kinda worthless: take a more scientific approach and fire at least 5 clips at the same point (use scavenger perk, because when you die the bullet holes are erased).

There can only be so many bullet decals on a wall at once....

The bullets disappear really fast. By the 3rd clip the first clip of bullets start to disappear. It would be nice to see the shots of the smg hip fired with steady aim.

Ignore the haters azrael1911, this is a great post. Keep it updated please.
No, these don't tell the whole story, but they tell an important one all the same.

They really don't tell anything other than where the bullets landed out of one clip. That's pretty much the least informative thing ever, it is saying "this is what one clip COULD look like."
It is really nothing more, and since we all know that recoil has a random element to it, we know that there are all sorts of shapes and sizes of spreads to put on that wall from every gun.
What would be best is taking 5 clips from each weapon fired at the same point ten times then overlayed on to each other in PS or some such software so we could actually get a sense for the recoil visually instead of these completely worthless pics we have no with no assurance that spread will ever be recreated.

I think that this is the most important aspect of a gun. It shows which guns will land the most bullets to where you are aiming at. From the videos and photos I've seen, as well as my own gameplay, a gun like G11 is very powerful due to its bullet spread and rate of fire.
I'd love to see this with attachments as well.

Spread is different every time, these images mis-represent certain guns. The youtube vids on a different thread on here show this better.
