Can you upload whole matches to Youtube thru the Elite (or is it limited to clips with a time limit)
Also, are the Friday Night Matchups very entertaining? I have always wanted to watch them.
I've wanted to learn to video edit with some Game Commentaries, that help explain how i think when I'm playing, and help explain the basics of the game alot of noobs dont realize make a HUGE difference on gameplay, but i fear i dont have a way to get full matches over to my computer unless ppl are using Elite

You should be able to upload without premium as well, right? Premium just gave you a lot more slots. Regarding Friday Night Fight: it's entertaining but not super great. Certainly not great enough to worth the $50. You get to see 1) two groups of people all pumped up wanting to beat the other group, with occasionally interesting trash talking; 2) 2 or 3 games played in theater mode from different players' angle, with commentaries, kind like watching a hybrid of movie and a sports game. Personally I think that the show is way too short (each game is only played for 5 minutes or so), and quite a few of the fights are too one-sided. I would very much prefer that they organize some tournaments of teams made of great players, with the players' in game communication, and commentaries that provide in-depth analysis like how you would analyze a chess game. That would be fun :-) One area I personally enjoyed is the map analysis videos. They are done in pretty good quality, breaking up the maps in 4-5 different sections and describe each section in some detail. It's good for a beginner to quickly learn the maps. It's also good for a team of players to come up with consistent callout. The weapon analysis videos on the other hand are mediocre at best. You'd better off read the posts on this forum. At least for me I learn something new here every day. Another area that premium provides extra features is Clan. They will enable "Clan Operations" soon, if you have friends that play together I think that you'll enjoy that more than the lone wolf competition. Here is my take on whether or not to join premium. Looking into the next 9 - 10 months, how much time do you plan to play MW3? If the answer is significant amount, then it's worth it. If the answer is "I will be tired of MW3 in 2-3 months and/or there are other great games that I want to play", then don't bother.

It was mentioned in the shaktazuki's clan thread but I want to mention it here again so people know: you don't have to be a premium member to join a clan. You can go ahead and do that before you make up your mind on whether to subscribe to premium or not.

Well, it appears I can't issue an invite to some people - I assumed it was because they weren't premium.

Based on the official feature comparison page for FREE vs. PREMIUM: www.callofduty.com/elite/whats-included, FREE members should be able to join or create clans. They just don't get the following: - Level Up Your Clan through Clan Operations Premium
- Unlock Clan Level Benefits Premium
- Exclusive In-Game Emblems
If a FREE member joins a clan that is created by PREMIUM members, he just does not get the following : - Participate in Clan Operations Premium (good to have)
- Exclusive In-Game Emblems (does not matter that much)
The Clan itself can still level up.

On most player's MW3 page, I have the option to "track," "compare," or "invite to clan." If that "invite to clan" button isn't there, I can't invite them. As I said, I assumed that when the button was missing that it was because the player in question was not a premium member.

Looks like they only allow clans consisted exclusively of FREE members and clans consisted exclusively of PREMIUM members, basically "FREE" Clan and "PREMIUM" clan. IMHO that's a stupid decision :-)

I was wrong here. On www.callofduty.com/elite/whats-included it is clearly stated that: For FREE members: Upload & Share 30 Second HD Videos Online For PREMIUM members: 3x User Storage of Match Replays & 2x Video Export Length (2x means 60 seconds?)

Because the rendering is done by the game, only the game play data needs to be stored not the video so it only takes a small amount of space. 2) Video export means have the in-game rendering engine creates a video file and upload it to the online vault (as well as YouTube if you link your elite account to your YouTube account. Here they impose a limit because a video file takes a large amount of space. 3) To upload a clip you need to a) play from theatre; b) record a segment; c) upload the segment to your online vault; d) select the segment from online vault and choose option "render". This will play the segment and after the play is finished it will automatically start uploading. 4) The video clip time limit for PREMIUM member appears to be 60 seconds as they claimed. For longer clips the "render" option is grayed out. For people who are uploading an entire game to YouTube, they must have other ways to capture the video. Here is a nice YouTube video describing how to do it for Console: Another option I can think of: 1) for a 10 minute game play break it down into 10 different clips, store them in your online vault and upload them into YouTube. 2) Download all 10 clips from YouTube, stitch them together into one file and upload to YouTube again. 3) Delete the 10 clips from you online vault to make room for another game play. Hope this helps.
