Ok so we know now that a satchel under the tank is a 1-hit kill.
Idea: If I use a N*71 ST which deals 672 and main nadesx2, thats 1344 to the rear of the tank, just a few short of a kill. So if I use the fireworks perk the two N*71's should take it out from the rear, right? Or is there something different with fireworks against tanks?

Thing is, I'm not sure. Perks only work against other players. They don't work against tanks. Empty tanks at least. I don't know if a tank takes extra damage if an enemy is in the tank, though.
I have not had any willing victims to sit in a tank and let me blow them up.

Yea i did try it with and without fireworks and there is no difference with a empty tank and a tank with an emeny in it.
i put double tap on a MG42 and bipod. In the console there is a glitch to get infinate ammo in the mounted guns when in prone by pressing the sprint button over and over. The double tapped MG42 took out a full health tank in about 10 seconds of constant fire.
also the N*71 ST x2 idea went ok. hit both N*71's in the rear of the tank and add 12 bullets from your gun and the tank is gone

Okay.
I discovered one thing about the armor plates that can be knocked off - they will completely absorb bullet damage. Only hitting the hull of the tank will harm the tank. The panels will block all damage to the tank itself.
The armor plates also absorbs some explosive damage (just so the plates get knocked off), but at such a small amount that it would not make a difference to the number of explosives needed to destroy the tank.

Fireworks helps alot against tanks with enemies in them. I got crispy fried by one sticky and a grazing shot from a satchel... It feels like you die 2ice as fast, like all is doubled... havn't checked how much yet...

HOLY CRAP!! I do apolagize to everyone. I was wrong. When i tested this i didnt bother testing everywhere on the tank, I thought only the rear would do. I retested and FIREWORKS really does help against tanks.
Without FIREWORKS two satchels and a sticky to the rear will take it out, but two satchels to the rear and a sticky to the front will not kill it.
With FIREWORKS two satchels to the rear and a sticky ANYWHERE will kill it.
my bad, me = r`tard

With my tank killer class I used two satchels and a sticky with fireworks and it owned the tank right when I hit the switch. I didn't bother with where I put them, they were just right on the top. I don't think it had any previous damage but I could be wrong. It felt very satisfying, because usually I only have a sticky and have to die several times to take out one tank.
Also, tapap said he took out a Tank with an MG42, but I thought only the PTRS-41 did any more than 1 damage? Does that mean he shot about 50 million rounds at it in 10 seconds? On the subject of machine guns, can you deploy one while prone? I wasn't able to in the single player and I don't think I could with the Type 99 in the beta, but I saw someone with an MG42 deployed on the ground recently. He owned us all.

The MG42 and 30cal mounted on the tanks deliver about 5 damage to tanks.

How to kill tanks:
Equip MP40 Sticky Smoke Satchel Charge Flak Jacket Extreme Conditioning
1: Throw smoke at tank 2: place satchel under tank. If it went under, then BOOM! you win 3: if not, then try again 4: if not again, then stick the tank. 5: if it doesn't die, run away
