I played Demolition for an hour the other night with a group of friends of mine that suck. And we got STOMPED. (3 out of the 4 us being slightly drunk had nothing to do with it)

Like, I've never taken that severe of a beatdown in all of my COD playing. Normally, no matter what gametype, I can usually be a competent player and get the hang of where spawns are in the span of about 1-2 games on a map. That goes for TDM, CTF, SnD, and Dom, which took me the longest to get the hang of. The same couldn't be said for Demolition.

Naturally, being the competitor I am, I'm taking it as a challenge to learn this gametype. One thing I've noticed, though, is that Demolition seems more like a team game than most of these other game types, simply for organized pushes and/or setting up a nice perimeter of defense around bomb sites.

What I'm really asking is who are the Demolition Denizens on here that are willing to take in a competent player (2.19 overall K/D, ~1.4 W/L and I don't normally play with a squad) and show me the ropes? (I play on the 360)

Seems like there can be a very big payoff in K/D when you get to spawn trap in Dem which I'm all for

and I'm looking to reap benefits and get some payback.

In regards to your post....yes, Demolition is not about bomb planting...it's mostly all about map control. Just like Domination. While I'm not entirely sure about MW3 spawns, I know in Blops (I played Demo a lot there), the spawns were mostly static. So that being the case, the game was about slowly positioning the opponent back, past the bomb site, and work them into their own spawns. Regardless of whether you were planting or defending. From there, decide if you want to win....or you want to bend them over and rape them anally.

Not sure about MW3...but the spawn situation got horribly abused on Blops.

Tactical insertions can sometimes make the difference between winning and losing. Also at the beginning of the game, try rushing the tougher bomb site first. I generally always rush one site at the beginning of every demo game. EC helps.

I would partner up but I have a small apartment and I play after the baby goes to sleep, so I can't really talk much.

People in DEM after respawn usually RUN blindly to the bomb site - tactical loitering around enemy spawn = farming a lot of kills ... it is devastating for the opponents.
In DOM you could at least try to flip spawns ...

Tac Ins might help a lot in DEM but it is S L O W ... and DEM is fast ... and you need semtex / frag as well ...
No infinite sprint in MW3 is a pain in DEM imo ...
No resuply of frags (weak Scav) - another pain.

The most exciting DEM games in MW2 were on Rundown IMO....
