Flak jacket is very popular this time around and scavenger does not replenish tubes. So there's another two downsides. I'm crushed I thought you could bypass word filters in thread titles. Apparently not.

Also,
the grenade launcher has a delay from when you press the trigger.

This is awfully depressing stuff I agree. Explosives feel ... kind of shallow like they did in BO1. MW3, if you fired a goddamn rocket at someone, it felt like you blew their shit up. The SMAW feels like a glorified flare gun to me. I'm afraid to get my hands on the RPG. I do enjoy having two grenades, though.

It's useful, feels about halfway between MW2 without DC and BO. Of course Flak Jacket nullifies it minus direct impact. so...win some lose some it feels balanced especially considering the late unlock.

It's definitely better than MW3's iteration, I'll tell you that much.

feels a little underpowered but I'd rather have that than OP tubes. Mousey is right, NOBODY uses them. And I'm not complaining about that =)

^most people won't have access to high unlocks in the same time. Grenade launchers as separate attachments have never been all that, imo.
Btw, gl attachment on ARs, go towards your k/d ratio for an AR, or no?

Of course Flak Jacket nullifies it minus direct impact. Flak Jacket nullifies EVERYTHING that isn't a direct impact. It's actually really good protection from AoE dependent streaks like the Lodestar (it's frustrating as fuck).

I'm quite happy about this. You have to use up and forfeit the perk slot for Flak but at least its effective! If you get a direct impact then its just not your day is it?

I think the Grenade Launcher isn't used that much because of a couple reasons: 1) Flak Jacket: Almost everyone uses this perk constantly. 2) Non-Replenishable: Because Scavenger cannot replenish the launcher ammo.
I believe that Treyarch needs to allow players to replenish GL ammo for 2 reasons: 1) It would make the attachment more useable. 2) Since killing players with any kind of explosives destroys Scavenger Packs, this means the player would have no choice but to use their weapon to obtain Scavy Packs to even get more GL ammo.
If Launchers are replenishable, why aren't they?

IMHO:
Ever since the noobtubes on rust in MW2, IW/3Arc has gone out of their way to sodomize the noobtube, be it through nerfed damage, fire time, or level unlock

I don't think that's bad either. The whole TAR OMA GL DC set up on MW2 was kind of a joke. Not as big as joke as the game ending nuke, but pretty close to it. These two things alone pretty much ruined what was otherwise a somewhat strong CoD game.

I'm amazed they havent tried making awesome explosives though. I mean I want a bolt action sniper that makes people explode when you headshot them. Hell explosive bullets in general could probably be done really well if they make penetration worth jack sh it That'll happen in the next CoD or three. We've beaten the current and previous centuries to death, I think. CoD: Future Warfare will be all about bolt guns and plasma casters and sh it. I want a gun that teleports grenades inside of people. Red mist for days.

This is awfully depressing stuff I agree. Explosives feel ... kind of shallow like they did in BO1. MW3, if you fired a gosh darn golly gee whiz rocket at someone, it felt like you blew their doo-doo up. The SMAW feels like a glorified flare gun to me. I'm afraid to get my hands on the RPG. I do enjoy having two grenades, though. This is odd to me because outside of C4 and the Jav, I felt explosives on MW3 were watered down, thus Blast Shield wasn't as useful as it could have been. The splash damage just didn't seem as powerful for tubes and rockets. BO1 tube was much more awesome. BO1 tube stats: ^ I didn't care that everyone used Ghost, because it meant they didn't have on Flak Jacket. I couldn't find success even remotely close to this on MW3 and I consider myself a professional with the tube.

High unlock meaning what exactly, if you don't mind me asking? meaning its near the end of the attachments for the weapon. I believe mms is the last and the launcher is before it.

I got killed for the FIRST TIME by a rifle grenade today. It seemed pretty strong, actually, the guy killed me and another guy that was about six feet away from me with one grenade.
