I know there is a sweet spots thread, but I thought I'd make a thread with a slight variation. Anyone got any areas in domination that just crush. I'd define it as a single spot with several good lines of sight where you have an advantage. Additionally it helps if you can move to other important positions pretty quickly and relatively safely.
I figured out one that is excellent with an accurate weapon like an assault rifle. On Yemen I sit on the stairs in the middle of the map if we hold C and B. it is so powerful. On iPad ATM, I'll make a graphic when I turn my pc on in a sec

basically, from this spot we have an excellent view of the popular flanking route from A to C, and moving a touch down the stairs we can kill people tactical loitering in the top building without them really expecting us to be there. we can also see at least 1/2 of the B flag, i pick off alot of people trying to cap B from here, not sure exactly how much i can shoot through the wooden thing, if completely, then its even better, with almost full coverage of the B flag while they have almost no chance of hitting you (maybe an LMG with FMJ would be great for this spot). from here it is a really short trip to the wall overlooking the C flag, and also a very short but slightly riskier trip into the really useful building overlooking B. the star is obviously the power position, with the yellow lines being lines of sight and the blue lines showing areas i can move to pretty safely. also, in this thread some refutations and counter strategies would be cool. maybe there is an obvious way to kill me i am overlooking

On Yemen...i think the real 'power position' is in the building that sits sort of above/adjacent to the B flag. On your above map, it's the building below left of B. Regardless of which other flag is held (C or A)....i think this building controls the map. Especially in close games. The team in this building, wins the game.
The position to sit in this building....is not in the corner overlooking B. But in the corner of the room, next to the small table. You can't see the B flag...but you have a clear view of the A buildings and scaffolding. And if someone comes in the door, you always have the drop on them. Again, regardless which other flag (C or A), you can control.
Note - how much action you have here, sitting in the above spot...is dependent on how much the other team wins. If it knows what's up, ...they'll be coming at you in waves...so sitting bunkered in, defensively...is ok. They'll be coming at you.

You mean the building I have a blue arrow pointing at. Yeah I like that building too but find people try and flush you out of there quite a lot and even wall bang a lot so I go in there and then retreat to the yellow star, just keep moving position.

There's a table in the corner there, relatively immune to the wallbanging. If there is continuous pressure on it...don't even bother guarding B. Just bunker down in the corner, next to the table...and nail people as they come in the door or window. Alternate corners if need be. The more you kill 'em, the more frustrated and rushed they get to get in. In effect...you pretty much pull away their entire goal of getting the B flag, and make it now that building.

B flag on Hijacked with Flak Jacket and Tac Mask filters everyone left or right, you're safe from window and middle. If you have A on Carrier the plane wreckage by B provides a powerpoint over the Left flanking route from C. Slums has a couple, of course the two barrels over looking each other, standing outside of computer room gives a nice Mind Bullets over the A entrance and gives distance from B entrance. Also memorial gives a powerpoint over the right flank from A.

When talking about power positions (and maps in general), I suggest that we use the overhead map and callouts provided by this link: unofficialcallofduty.com/black-ops-2-bo2-map-callouts-mlg-gb/By using a common reference system, the conversations can be much more productive. What about I create one discussion thread per map with the overhead picture from the above link? Bros can then post their insights, as well as add drawings with overlay on top of these overhead pictures to demonstrate their points.
