The rules for "Hey, Guy" are simple:
-----
1. Discuss only games that have been "charted"
All games in the Battlefield series are acceptable in this thread.
-----
2. Focus on the game
The purpose of this board is for players of the same game to share experience and preferences of the game.
Making comparisons of game elements to "reality" will be removed.
Useless complaints will be removed.
Extraneous "facts" that have nothing to do with the games are not productive.
-----
3. Only Registered users may post
Due to the frail nature of message boards, negative events that come from Guest posting result in no Guest posting.
Registering is easy, even easier than most other boards who say it is easy. Just make a name, no need for email confirmations.
-----
4. Any negative posts will be deleted and the poster will be blocked for 168 hours
Flames, insults, abuse, solicitations, advertisements* or irrational arguments and useless posts will be edited/removed and the offender(s) will be disabled without warning for one week/day as soon as Den sees it.
Due to the potential of conflicting opinions resulting in more aberrant behavior, negative posts will result in a seven-fold timeout compared to the "Hey, Den" punishment of one day.
If the same user makes another offense, Den will flip a coin to decide if that user is banned from "Hey, Guy" for a week or two.
*Advertisements meaning anything not related to the games of discussion. If you or another have useful information of sorts about one of the games elsewhere on the internet, that is fine to link to.
Anything irrelevant, malicious or stupid will be immediately edited out and the 168-hour timeout applied to the poster.
-----
5. Misplaced posts will be removed
Opinion and less-technical posts from "Hey, Den" will either be moved to "Hey, Guy" or deleted.
-----
APTITUDE TEST
To prove that you have read these rules, your first Post as a Registered Member must have the following phrase in your message:
You are my bro, bro.
If the first post that you make does not have this phrase, then you ain't a bro.
