Hello fellow Denkirsonians, long time no see.
Anyway, I just thought that I should let you bros know, in case you don't already, that no weapons except for sniper rifles have bullet drop, and ACOG and Red Dot both completely remove bullet drop on sniper rifles.
Now for questions.
1. Den, do you think you could offer an interpretation of recoil and kick? I am specifically intrested in the Engineer compact ARs/SMGs. Ranking them from best to worst (just going off of recoil and kick) would be much appreciated, although if that isn't possible I would be grateful for any insight you could offer.
2. Do snipers have other multipliers, or is it just the x2 to the head?
3. Den, is there any way I can send you gratuitous amounts of money?

1. There really isn't much more than what I've already mentioned on the blog. From those numbers alone, you'd be able to make a tier list of accuracy.
But:
Stand NoZoom BaseValue MinAngle 1.5 MaxAngle 5.0 IncreasePerShot 0.35 DecreasePerSecond 3.0 UseAimSpecialisation: True
These numbers are in both the Spread and Recoil columns.
Each posture has these five variables. MinAngle is the minimum hip spread, it is only affected by changing to another posture or firing a weapon. MaxAngle is the maximum spread gained from excessive fire. IncreasePerShot is self-explanatory. DecreasePerSecond is universally 3.0 for every weapon and every posture.
Standing, Moving, Zoom and Zoom Moving all benefit from the Aim Specialization. I'm not sure if IncreasePerShot is affected, but I know that at least the two "Angle" ones are.
Recoil RecoilAmplitudeMax 99.0 RecoilAmplitudeIncPerShot 0.5 RecoilAngleMax 150.0 RecoilAngleIncPerShot 12.0 RecoilAmplitudeDecreaseFactor 7.0
Now, this reads "recoil", but I have both IncPerShot numbers in the "kick" column (couldn't think of another word that would fit in the box).
All weapons have a Amplitude Max of 99. With each shot, Amplitude is increased by whatever number per shot. Recoil Angle Max is the height at which a weapon could kick if you fire enough in succession. Recoil increase per shot is obvious.
Decrease Factor is likely a decrease per second. Amplitude won't go very high, it is only meant to make very tiny differences in the Recoil Angle Increase Per Shot. All weapons and postures have an Amplitude Decrease Factor of 7.
There is another set of variables that may be related to weapon recoil, but with the exception of a few weapons (very small differences), they are all the same.
--- An example in effect, the AEK:
Weapon sighted, 0 spread. The 3.0 spread decrease in effect. One shot, 0.35 spread added. 0.075 time between shots. A three round burst. After the third shot, it would take just under a third of a second for the weapon's spread to recover. The sights will also return to the center of the screen well within that time.
-----
2. Weapons themselves do not have multipliers. The character model only has locations of "head" and "body" and they take 2x and 1x damage.
3. If you're serious, I guess I could make one of them newfangled PayPal donate buttons.

To be honest, I'm feeling kind of stupid right now. Kick made perfect sense to me in CoD, but in this I can't get a feel for how accurate a weapon is on full-auto just by looking at numbers. Something just isn't clicking en la cabeza.
And to simplify question 1, which Engineer silenced gun would you use?

9A91 and then the AKS74u... probably. I'd really love to hear why you'd use these. Are you going by Recoil only? Because these two certainty don't excel in damage or any other areas really.

I don't like the look of the SCAR-L and XM8c ironsights. That's about it.
'Sides, if I'm an Engineer, my primary weapon has wheels.

PP2000 with 1000 rpm and 44 size mag and almost just 1 more bullet to kill at any range. Come on!
IMO recoil hardly matters in this game. The ironsights are never correct after sustained fire, so you would have to burst like any automatic weapon anyway.
