Mmm... Fun. I love campaign score challenges. Always a great excuse to jump into Long Night of Solace for some space fighter action.
I threw on all the skulls except blind and jumped in. I actually started from the beginning instead of just skipping to space. Waiting on all the cinematics is annoying, but I figured I'd get a few extra points for it and the beginning is actually pretty easy if you sprint along the coast and come up the back way. I did screw up a couple times, but no worries. ;p
I even screwed up in space. lol I actually pulled an immelman RIGHT into some wreckage. DOH! Actually my first space screwup was even more embarrassing... It's been a while since I've done the mission and for some reason I thought I had to dock first. Oops... hehe
I actually love flying this campaign on legendary. The space stuff really isn't that difficult, so it's nice to add a little more challenge into it. I did have an annoying stretch where I couldn't get the shields down on the Saraphs because another one would always get on my six and make me break to shake him, but eventually I managed, mainly through using thrusters. If you get right up on a Saraph's ass they will often break and try to dodge, which in turn lets you dodge whomever is behind you but keep shooting your target. It's even possible to overboost on purpose to force them to break and let you turn hard then continue shooting them.
I had the challenge done before even going after the corvette. ;p But I went ahead and did that part too just for jollies. After I landed I did kill the two ranger elites that jump up through the shield, but then dropped out. Good times, though and an easy weekly challenge done.
