I just did some testing on this in a local match, and the sentry gun and guardian I put up both self-destructed after about four minutes. Probably exactly four minutes, and I just messed up with the stop watch a little. I doubt it's different online matches. That is interesting. Definitely going to give it a try myself and then correct my list accordingly. Thanks for the notice. UPDATE:Guardian lasts maximal 4 minutes. Sentry lasts maximal 4 minutes. A.G.R. lasts maximal 2 minutes.

Regarding Sentry and Guardian: it seems to me that Sentry can be easily destroyed by just a few bullets, while Guardian can take a lot of hits. Anybody else noticed this?
Of course, to safely shoot at Sentry a player needs to do it outside of its cone of fire, which is often hard or impossible to do. However, one viable alternative might be to have a coordinated team shoot, which can be quite effective without anybody having to switch to their EMP loadout.
Thoughts?

I noticed it too. The Sentry can be destroyed with 2 Semtex Stickies, the Guardian takes one more. My theory (!) is that the Sentry has multiple hitboxes, whereas the Guardian - being more compact - only has one. So the Sentry would take more damage from bullets going through the different hitboxes or nearby explosions. That could explain a lot.

any tips on using the hunter killer drone? im only really interested in tactics applicable to search. basically, i run combinations of UAV (always), then two of hot wheels, hunter killer drone, cp, lightning strike...
hunter killer drone appears to get kills at about the rate i get them with the hot wheels, but with the bonus of not being completely prone and defenseless while using it. so far my strategy, has just been to basically, throw it high into the air towards the most open part of the map at the beginning of the round. there must be a more effective way to use it... any ideas?
im thinking im probably best off with uav, hunter killer, care package. lightning strike is awesome even in search, but by the time i get it, i could have already cycled back to almost my second UAV...

thats a good point. follow up questions. does any know the mechanics of how it works? i assume it just flies into the air and 'searches' within a certain range. how long is this range? how long does it fly around before giving up? how much of the map will it search?

A few things that I would like to ask / confirm:
1) Lightning Strike: the red dots displayed right after opening the laptop are just like UAV, right? In other words, Ghost counters the effect?
2) Sentry Gun: when AI controlled, no perks counter its target finding ability, right? Blind Eye only provides immunity against AI controlled air streaks (same goes with AGR)
3) Because of the above, Blind Eye is only useful against Hunter Killer, Stealth Chopper and Escort Drone, right?
The reason I ask is that I used to have 1 dedicated support class for anti-airstreak as well as anti-groundstreak. It is overloaded with Blind Eye, FHJ, Engineer, and EMP grenades and as a result not a very effective class. I am pondering on splitting it into 2 to have better focus and more room (in terms of points) for weapon setup:
Anti-air: mainly responsible for taking out Stealth Chopper and Escort Drone, while can also take care of UAV / CUAV (and to lesser extent: Hunter Killer and Enemy Care Package). It can also attempt to take out Lodestar and VTOL or die trying.
Blind Eye + FHJ + Blackhat, with 7 points for otherwise normal class setup
Anti-ground: mainly responsible for taking out Guardian / Sentry / AGR. EMP + Engineer is a great combo for killing campers (e.g. rooftop snipers on Plaza). The EMP grenades can also be used for ground combat.
2 EMP grenades + Engineer, with 7 points for otherwise normal class setup.

1) I have to test this again. Maybe I should team up with another bro on PS3, since Ghost only works when moving and it's a little difficult to use two controllers at the same time xD (My PSN ID: TMH4000)
2) Right. Cold Blooded only removes the targeting assist if the Sentry is player controlled. Blind Eye has no effect on the Sentry. Same goes with the AGR.
3) Yes. Blind Eye counters Hunter Killer Drones, Stealth Chopper, Escort Drone and Swarm. To some extent it also protects you against the Warthog. That is another thing I have to test again. I think the Warthogs rockets can't lock on to you, but you still die to its gunfire if you are not careful.
In my anti-air loadout, I additionally use Cold Blooded to increase my chance to destroy player controlled scorestreaks. Personally, I don't use a specific anti-groundstreak class. For most situations, my Ghost + Engineer class is sufficiant to destroy Guardians and Sentries by getting behind them and destroying them with my silenced primary. It's not very effective, but it does the job in public matches. In a more competitive environment however, I'd definitly use a specific class for that role, equiped with either EMP grenades or Black Hat PDAs.
UPDATE: Blind Eye grants immunity to the Warthog for the most part. Its rockets can't lock on to you, but if you are close to teammates you still die to them. In addition to that, you still die to it's gunfire. The Warhog has a fixed path of strafes it carries out, depending on the map of course. During those strafes, it creates a death zone of bullets in front of it. If you are in it's path, you're still dead.

Can you have more than 1 earned AGR roaming at once?
I know there was a glitch with the carepackage AGR allowing you to have multi AGR's around the map.
I cycled through 3 AGRs in a game last night but only saw one roaming around. I couldn't confirm if my previous two were destroyed or not.

Can you have more than 1 earned AGR roaming at once? Good question. I know for a fact that you can have two active Sentries at a time, so I assume it's the same with AGRs. But I'll test it asap and let you know what I find out. UPDATE:The limit of Guardians and Sentries you can have active at a time is 4 each. For AGRs it's 2. But if you try to call in your third/fifth scorestreak, the first one you called in won't get destroyed. Instead you get the message "*insert name here* not available."

I got killed by a sentry gun that was in the round bar area by the pool aiming through the wall in that overwatch room with a bed in Raid.
Couldn't even see it, was immense. Would definitely advise placing it there

I thought Swarm has no hard counter. In that case I'll switch to my BE class during the rare situations when the enemy has a swarm going, and move fearlessly. I am not planning to have a dedicated anti-ground class either. I like both EMP and Engineer enough to create a combat class with them, and it can serve the anti-ground role as a secondary benefit.

I wouldn't say that. It adds little value to your primary/try-hard/combat classes, but It is great for a dedicated support class that you can pull out when you need it.

Blind eye was more prevalent in mw3 due to the fact that getting air support killstreaks was very easy. However in bo2 i rarely die to air killstreaks enough to take BE as a perk in any of my classes.

BE provides immunity to Swarm too? Good to know. I thought Swarm has no hard counter. In that case I'll switch to my BE class during the rare situations when the enemy has a swarm going, and my teammates will rapidly spawn on me with no BE and we'll all die together in the coming explosion. Fixed that for you.

Correct. I completed the "50 kills with swarm" challenge in a single game, against opponents at least two of which were using Blind Eye. If you're outside and people are spawning, you're probably dead.

I watched this YouTube video and it seems to me that a class of BE + Cold Blooded + FHJ (or SMAW) + Blackhat (1 or 2) can be a pretty effective scorestreak spoiler:
Can take out
UAV Hunter Killer Care Package CUAV Guardian Sentry Dragon Fire AGR Stealth Chopper Escort Drone Warthog Lodestar VTOL Warship
13 out of 22, not too shabby (not included: RC-XD, Hellstorm, Lightning Strike, War Machine, Death Machine, VSAT, EMP, K9, Swarm)
It still has room of 5 to 6 points, enough to equip a 3 attachment primary, or 2 attachment primary + a tier-3 perk + lethal.

Another question:
I was watching a game play video today and noticed that when using the Lodestar there are two distinctive visual cues: 1) the red hexagon to highlight the enemy, and 2) when zoomed in (can be visible when zoomed out as well, just not very obvious) the enemy's entire body is highlighted in bright yellow, same as how Dual Band works. Also, some enemies only have 2), not 1).
BTW, Lodestar has two visual mode: OPT & FLIR. The effects mentioned above are observed when using FLIR mode (with the effects mentioned above I can't see why anybody would prefer OPT over FLIR)
I assume that Cold Blooded counters effect 1) but not effect 2). Is there any counter against effect 2? I assume no, but would like to confirm.
Do Dragon Fire and VTOL Warship have the similar effects as well?

A few things:
Just watched a drift0r vid in which he shows that you can shoot a Hellstorm Missile out of the sky with one single bullet. Unfortunately it only works if the Missile is not clustered. Thought I should let you know.
And regarding the effect of Cold Blooded: In BO2, most perks do not grant you complete immunity to whatever they are supposed to counter. Cold Blooded for example does not make you completly immune to the Dual Band, it just makes you less bright and therefore less obvious. Kind of pointless, but whatever. I think the same goes for the Lodestar. It counters 1) completely and 2) to some extent. Maybe you will notice the difference if you look closely xD
I'm pretty sure the Dragonfire does only have one regular camera mode. In case of the Warship, I don't know for sure. So another thing to test... going to do that later today.
UPDATE: I was right about the Dragonfire: I has only one regular camera mode. The VTOL Warship has the OPT and FLIR camera modes, just like the Lodestar. Another thing I noticed is that an enemy with Cold Blooded doesn't get highlighted in yellow/orange AT ALL when you are in FLIR mode with your Lodestar or VTOL Warship.

Regarding the Lightning Strike, I can now offer some definitive answers and get rid of all the myths 1) Upon using the Lightning Strike the first time, it will highlight the enemies on the map. But this built-in UAV sweep works only once! 2) If you cancel the Lightning Strike, you will have to wait for a UAV or a VSAT to use it effectively. 3) Blind Eye and Cold Blooded don't have an effect on the Lightning Strike, but Ghost does. That is if you are moving of course. On the minimap, your little arrow will fade out to indicate that you are now hidden to enemy UAVs and Lightning Strike Pads.

Regarding Sentry and Guardian: it seems to me that Sentry can be easily destroyed by just a few bullets, while Guardian can take a lot of hits. Anybody else noticed this? One C4 takes out a Sentry Gun, Guardian takes two. But obviously EMP works better if you have it equipped. On another note, saw someone use the Sentry-at-window/Guardian-at-door tactic on Overflow yesterday, in the room above B-dom.

I was watching a player's stream video and in several occasions I saw players highlighted in yellow (he uses FLIR mode) but not with red hexagon. Maybe the red hexagon occasionally has bugs. Anybody prefers OPT over FLIR? Based on what I observed FLIR seems to be clearly superior.

Regarding 1 & 2: if I understand correctly, you are saying that trying to use LS's pad as a portable UAV would not work, right? i.e.: I can't open it up to check enemy positions, close it to cancel the usage, later open it up & check again... So much for creative use of this scorestreak :-) Regarding 3: that's fantastic. I have been wondering whether there is a way to tell whether the Ghost is working or not. Just watched a game play video and sure enough, the player's own arrow brightens when he is static or moving too slow, indicating that he is vulnerable to enemy UAV detection. When a player is not using Ghost: his arrow will appear in bright color at all times.
