I like the PDW, but I think its main flaw is the low RoF. The low RoF gets me killed a lot but the big mag helps me wins fights that I otherwise would have lost due to reloading. The 3HK is nice too.
The MSNBC is pretty cool but the reload gets me killed way too much, but I can definitely see why you guys love it so much.
The Skorp is most definitely the best SMG right now.
<3 the Chicom.

Chicom craps all over the skorpion once you get consistent with it, IMO

But the guide recoil plots dont show much of a difference, aside from that the Chicom has some time to recenter.. maybe? Hmm, wonder how long they "waited" between bursts...

Reading all these arguments of 'which gun is best', I can only think that the guns are relatively balanced this time around. That being said, most arguments are for SMGs or high fire-rate ARs such as the M8 and the Type25. I reckon the reason for high fire-rates being better would be that the damage values are lower compared to other guns, therefore making higher fire-rates more advantageous. I would also like to note that there are some advantages to the chicom, those being that it's native burst almost forcing you to conserve your ammo and control your recoil. Its seeming lack of burst delay is nice for when you want to unload into someone. That being said, I wouldn't call it the best, and, as Mousey has said, 'best' is subjective to your play style.

'Best' is an impossible statement to make considering all the variables at this stage. It probably will always be so. (But that's a good thing right???)
For me - at this early stage - it's the FAL. I can double tap lots of SMG folks across the room and hit snipers at range.
I also like the slower SMG's - MSMC and PDW with a supp/laser.
I did pretty well, considering it was a brand new game, with the MP7 and Vector at the beginning. I haven't prestiged yet (just got #55) so I'll roll around again and try them all out, once more, as I go.

I have been very dissapointed going back to the MP7(Hate the iron sights) and PDW(Slow fire rate) after using the MSMC and Skorpion towards the end of my last prestige.
My performance has plummeted and am losing most encounters with the first two SMGs. The Vector has saved me a bit though and I'm having better results with it both from the hip and ADS.
I unlocked Ghost for my first token but Im wishing that I had chosen the Skorp Evo now!

Statistically, the MP7 poops on the Vector in most regards, but the iron sights and (seemingly) the innate zoom level of the MP7 does make fire fights a little harder than they should be for me.

I did think the mp7 had a decent time to kill and good stats, but apart from hip spamming i was crap with it, the PDW cost me way too many gun on gun battles too! I think i have just let my guard down after using the effective MSMC and Skorp! I need to knuckle down a bit!

statistically we dont have the recoil values for the vector or mp7 or anything When I say "good stats" I mean from the stat bars in game! ("I know they are normally misleading") I think I just prefer to use the Vector more for the longer range shots as it seems to me to stay on target easier than the MP7. Up close they both seem effective.

Theyrw actually incrediy mislwading this time around too If by incredibly misleading you mean completely wrong all the time, then yeah. And bravo, the PDW and MSMC have literally the exact same rate of fire, and both kill in 3-6 bullets. MSMC has like 5 meters more range, and PDW has 20 more rounds in the magazine. Other than that they're the same gun. Any perceived differences in your performance are almost certainly placebo.

I know about the stats from discussions on these boards but I just played really badly with it at the start of my new prestige. I have now forced myself to use the PDW again today and did okay! I seem to be in pro lobbies(with high prestigers) all the time at the moment its probably more to do with my opposition.

I think it's equal between the two(PDW57 and MSMC). MSMC more range and less recoil, but PDW57's massive mag size helps A LOT. Especially against groups of people.
I just recently unlocked the MSMC, after being so used to the MP7, and I"m just not doing nearly as well with the lower rof and lower recoil.

on an unrelated note , if any of you like the msmc, try the mtar. same fire-rate and 3sk range, longer 4 shot kill range, higher minimum damage, the list goes on. I like mine with the laser, grip, and stock. It's like an smg+. Don't overlook it just because it's a starter weapon. It's ttk up close beats or ties almost all ar's and smg's, barring things like fal sf or smr, and honestly, who wants to use guns like those with their depressingly low rof that penalize even 1 missed shot so, so much?

Uh msmc has much lower recoil too, pathogen Totally matters when your laser spraying, right? And I don't know about this "much" business either

PDW Chicom Vector are the three with the longer aim assist ranges
I use the pdw or the chicom for different niches.
I must say that the PDW Stock Grip and Quick Draw is magnificent though

What exactly does it do that the Skorpion doesnt? The chicom aim assist range is around 130-150% of the skorpian range. It makes a huge difference.
