I think the garage side is the better one, though. It has use mind bulletses to watch both of the outside lanes (bedroom and art gallery windows) and the central lane has less visibility into the spawn. The other side has a good vantage point over the sculpture in laundry, but nothing poolside analogous to bedroom. You can shoot into the NOPE pretty easily. There's also a sun roof over it, so there is much less killstreak protection on that side (the other side has art gallery, bedroom, and the weightroom). I prefer the garage side in domination; it seems easier to take the B flag from that side. Probably something to do with the way the cover is laid out around B-Dom / Sculpture and the fact that the route from A through Tiles brings you down the steps where you're wide open. Flanking from A round the outside of Laundry for cover really is a long way. In KC and TDM, if you choose to play with an SMG, the hardest part is getting past the midway point of the map, where the ARs, snipers, etc. have the upper hand, so that you can outflank them and keep the engagements to CQC. Again, I find it slightly easier to do from the garage side because of the way the cover is laid out. In fact, I tend to prefer an AR from the NOPE side. One thing the NOPE side does have going for it, is if you like to hose people coming into Middle from the opposite side, you can set up towards the back of the NOPE and cut the angles down, whereas on the Patio side you're more exposed.

I think I like NOPE side more because the NOPE is more easily defended than patio/gallery and it has the better position for fighting in the middle (indoors and deeper as Pentaza stated). The fact that I find all of your reasons valid for liking garage side better probably means the map is pretty balanced.

Assault Shield sweet spots in DOM - defending or clearing B flag. how to survive in the deadzone or how to kill noob snipers? guys who never used Assault Shield and play DOM should definitely try Overkill with AR or LMG + TF there. for guys who never use assault shiled - one cannot shoot thru shield's window, standing position required and head visible for enemy snipers.... but to observe hot spots it is great. (... waiting for Dumien's BO2 Assault Shield Guide..) 1. C flag spawn: no room to move back, risky position (flanking enemies are a real threat) but very effective. ... NEWB sniping spot observable in the left upper corner: 2. A flag spawn is better. More room for positioning, flanking not so easy. ... ... and middle area control: 3. A side is great a lot of space behind to avoid grenades. C-side is worse, less room to pull back and usually you "Cannot plant here"...

Nice
I really like the sculpture--namely the sculpture itsrself. On top of that you can hold down a lot. You can hold down the middle pretty well when the enemies are there. You can also really hold down all three routes from A to B (Stairs to Tiles, the whole of Laundry including the side path. When the spawns flip you just switch sides. Covering C is a little less advantageous as coming from tunnel the enemy has the van to Mind Bullets. But you can look right into gallery and hold down the whole building pretty much.
Also, I've found fmj and an LMG to be bonkers in the middle. You shoot through those flimsy walls pretty easily.
P.S. all the maps in this game are hard as hell with bad teammates
