Also, assuming the green laser gives the same hipfire bonus as regular, it's a straight upgrade. Unless you really like red I guess. How? Green is more noticeable to enemies than red, I'd say that's a downgrade.

The green laser has a smaller angle to blind people with, which is a good thing. If you forget to turn it off, you're less likely to give yourself away when aiming at an enemy. Plus if you're in a map with foliage, green blends in more. Red kinda sticks out everywhere. I'm not sure how green would be more noticeable. Maybe it's just me, but every green laser I've seen in videos or in game is really dull, wheras the red is brighter.

I think these shenanigans regarding red and green lasers was purposely crafted by Dice to get us talking about some other upcoming game filled with red and green lasers.

The one part they got right is that the green laser supposedly has the most intense blinding effect; it's just harder to aim correctly. Of course if blinding people is your goal, we still have the portable sun attachment. I won't lie, I prefer it this way. I prefer green if only from an aesthetic standpoint. Plus seeing how every weapon in the game basically gets a free laser sight, I want all my guns rocking green.

So... the new Obliteration gametype is out, and it's a double-edged sword from what I've heard. The good news is that the gametype forces players to parachute down and converge into one area, making for loads of constant concentrated action. The bad news is that, while most game-types in Battlefield have leeway for the best players do what they do best while ensuring that the awful players/trolls can't do much to set the team back, the bomb carrier has a lot of power. If a troll or an incompetent player gets the bomb everyone else on the team suffers; all they can do is either stay away in hopes that the enemy will take the bomb back. This might not fold into a major issue, but something like a second bomb could be worth considering.

According to Jackfrags' most recent video "Good Ideas and Domination - Battlefield 4" the devs are planning on adding the following changes to Battlefield 4 in the release version. His main points were: -The C-building in Seige of Shanghai is too easy to collapse because a tank can roll up to the waterside and take out all 4 pillars. The devs plan on adding an M-COM with a 120-second fuse to collapse the building. -Some matches of obliteration can take over an hour to finish. Rumours of a 20-minute time limit will be put in place and the bomb can spawn in more than 3 randomly selected locations. Bombsites may also have longer fuses to them.
There has also been patch for the beta; the performance issues for players running BF4 on Windows 7 have now been fixed.

Apparently there's weapon-specific battlepacks, containing only attachments for that particular gun. How it is unlocked is unknown though. I think you'll probably get one if not more after unlocking all attachments / mastery (which is 500 kills)
the battlepack system doesnt look too bad anymore

More stuff Dice has talked about fixing: -low RoF/long range weapons like the AK12 will have their long-range capabilities nerfed -the ability for players to team up as recon and engi, lock onto vehicles and take them down in one shot is longer in the game -Stingers buffed from 25 to 35 damage -Fixed a glitch where players could jump into sky by activating a 'button' where the elevator used to be after the the C Flag building collapses -There was an issue where players felt like they were one-shot-killed by a weapon that would normally kill in more than one shot. This was likely due to some odd netcoding setup involving the damaged player not getting any feedback when shot more than once quickly in succession. -There's also been an issue where players would get a kill, but it will take a few seconds before it shows up on the killfeed.
