MTS-255 without steady aim and with silencer and holographic sight. OP.

So is the general concensus still that the MTAR and MSBS are the top tier guns from the charts and initial play time? any one noticed any particular gun + attachment combinations that are particularly potent? I'm going to have to stick with silencers for a little while as I am not managing to get much game time and as such will take me a while to get used to the maps. I loved my rush classes in MW3 but there is little room for them here I have quickly learned.

I like the MTARX irons more than BO2 MTAR irons and I used that thing for 25k kills, they're fine except for the knob on the left of the screen since your sight picture on the target is clear

I have not tested the other LMGs yet, but I have had great success with the M27 Silenced, with VMR(1x RDS+4x Zoom) sight. It is an amazingly accurate laser, with the magazine size to stop anyone(or groups) at any distance without worrying about getting to the end of the magazine and having to reload like with the SC-2010. Mobility sucks, but I camp/Overwatch, so it is not killer. I sometimes even take Scavenger off, due to having enough ammo to get me to a couple of new guns off the ground.

I used: Honey badger + EM + RDS (also tried grip, RDS is more usefull because the recoil can go even down, very unpredictable!) AK + grip + silencer (also tried EM + silencer, but I think the AK is a long range weapon, and the grip really helps. Also because of the high accuracy and damage combined with low ROF, EM is not THAT needed) FAD + grip + silencer (tried EM, but it not THAT needed because of 42 rounds, and grip really makes this gun a laser! it has comparable but slightly better recoil than a MW3 G36, YES PLEASE!) MR-28 + RDS + Silencer (THNX wings, used RDS (scope is AWEFULL!) and silencer on it, it felt great, although I did rape with it some games, other times it was plain awe full. That has been the case with semi auto from WaW on for me though) mTAR + silencer + RDS (Good gun, feels like the MW2 UMP, in the same way as the UMP it lacks some OOOMP in CQC and sometimes you get some bad recoil rolls on range, making it impossible to win the fight (I.E. run back/hide or DIE!)) mTAR + rapid fire + RDS (Very good gun, fixes the CQC problem of the standard version, while it does not really make the recoil much worse long range IMO) In the end from the guns I have been using: FAD completely outclasses the honey badger, although it is a nice free gun to begin with and the free attachment might be its saving grace AK + grip outclasses the marksmen rifle for me. I think if you are really good with semi automatic the marksmen rifles are good, but for me semi automatic sometimes goes marvelous, but other times I can't get a high ROF or I lose my aiming ability while shooting fast. (also, cold hands + semi automatic is just impossible for me ) MTAR is a nice gun, but when combined with a silencer I prefer the FAD! I do get 3 free points though (don't need stalker), so that is a great pro for this gun! The rapid fire + RDS variant did great, but I am missing that silencer (as everybody is red dot hunting these first days) All in all I don't think the MTAR makes the AR class useless, although it is a very potent gun! I think aim assist ranges play a big role here! Good to hear the LMG are usable Showzen!

The first MR is the MR-28. The scope would be better if the outer reticule wasn't so thick. Only the COD4 ACOG seems to outdo it on this front.

What seems to be the best MR in your opinion guys? the MK14 fires to slow IMHO (only picked it up once though), so the dragonov is probably also horrible. The 2 HK on all ranges sounds nice though.

M27 is top tier if you're more of a heavy gunner type. Use grip and silencer. Great rof great range great mag size.

I love the Ameli, it's a beast at close range with its 2HK. 4HKs at range with 600RPM are pretty painful, though.

A big fan of the past L86, the recent LSAT, and am trying to find a way to work LMG's into this game. I agree with you. I have found some success with the M27 silenced. I have been experiementing running three attachments on this gun. Experimenting with some combos include Silencer, ext Mag, Grip, & Thermal. And using the Marathon, Agility, Attachmentx3, and Stalker perks. Trying to fine tune it. I love how the thermal allows switching between a great red dot sight, and the thermal. Accuracy is deadly. My only complaint is that for some odd reason, my fingers accidently flip the site from red dot to thermal now and then. But the thermal is good. It really helps show where opponents are amongst all the HUGE amounts of clutter on the map. Very few people run the perk to hide themselves too. But I did recently have my best game so far using this combo, going 39-2 on the Octane map. I think...not sure...the principles of what made the Stalk/Lightweight Target Finder LSAT combo so deadly, they might also work in this game too.

I will also add, i'm only level 25 and my gun use has REALLY been restricted so far by those CoD points. I would love to try more, but it seems like i never have enough points to open what i want. Kind of annoying.

I put it in another thread, but I'm still annoyed by it.
Bouhgt the Ameli LMG... enjoyed it nekked... good power, slowish shooting, managable recoil... very MK46ish, IMHO.... but slapping an attachment on it and the recoil went nuts. Put the foregrip on it, recoil was noticeably worse ... ACOG: super super bad... it was like riding on a bumpy road with moguls... silencer: same as forgrip.
Each time, I switched back to the nekked and had little to no recoil management issues.
Eff me, right?

It sounded beastly, but felt sluggish and slow. Like people were killing me while i was shooting at them. I gave up and went to the M27 ..for now. Maybe I'll go back later. I tried looking at that symthic.com site, but it's showing that the stats aren't done yet.

Does Ghosts have something similar to BO2, where you can custom game/load out against bots? I for one, found that to be fantastically beneficial for unlocks, as I could use it to see how it worked for me.
Seems I'm just flying blind wondering about the guns that can be used and the attachment combos... wasting squad points on weapons that are $hit, where as I could preview them and be more selective and have a better gaming experience too

Yes. Its' in the private match setting I think. In the Multiplayer. And is entirely different from the 'Squad Mode', which is in an entirely different part of the game { Campaign, Squad Mode, Multiplayer}
For the private match, just set your bot skill levels like before. The bots play pretty smart and in most respects, better than the general human population (which the majority of which just goes and hides in obscure corners) There are four settings again, but this time also adds a 'mixed' setting. I guess this means you can make it so your bot opponents (and teammates) have both good and bad players. Instead of all them sucking or being deadly. Kind of cool.
I'll go in and set up like five different load-outs for a gun in my private lobby create a class. This is different from the other multiplayer, and everything is unlocked to try. So for like the M27, i went in and just then swapped between the classes during the game, seeing which has the best feel, works, etc...

I just finished maxing my first guy to level 60.
Best gun I have found is the SVU followed by M27-IAR and then LSAT. The LMGs really do require the run speed perks though. SVU is for taking down people fast.
