CoD4: pastebin.com/2E5duAk1If you're above 55 health, and 5 seconds pass pass without receiving damage, your health is instantly regenerated to full. If you're at or below 55 health, and 5 seconds pass without receiving damage, your health is regenerated by chunks of 10 every 0.05 second tick. MW3: pastebin.com/Q6KvZAtvIf you're damaged at all, and 5 seconds pass without receiving damage, your health is regenerated by 1 every 0.05 seconds. Long and short of it: MW3 has comparatively slow health regeneration, and CoD4 regeneration is not what it was previously thought to be. As of now, we do not know how health regeneration is carried out in Ghosts, but it is, presumably, similar to MW3. Where did I get this stuff? Marvel4 (who found the code) and Probaddie (who helped interpret and provide feedback) in the IRC.

In short: ICU is pretty damn good to have.

In short: ICU is pretty gosh darn golly gee whiz good to have. IF it turns out that the Ghost health regen is the same as MW3's. We don't know for sure yet, but it makes sense :)

Another interesting tidbit is that, apparently, according to the Ghosts guide book/strategy guide, it not only halves the time it takes to start regenerating (5 to 2.5 seconds), but it also doubles the rate of regeneration (1 health every 0.05 seconds after regeneration starts to 2 health every 0.05 seconds). ICU sounds pretty useful to me.

I can see ICU melding extremely well with Blast Shield -- it's too often you're left weakened by explosives to the point two rounds can put you down.
Should make flag captures a breeze, actually, and while Thermobaric grenades ignore armor, this perk pretty much hard-counters it as a flag-cleaner.

Tmar video says ICU reduce the time of "not receive dmage"(5sec) into half, and double the speed of the health regenerated.
Well he didnt leak the source.

Though I do not have much respect for Tmartn, what he says seems to be consistent with the code for MW3, which was likely reused in Ghosts, and his ICU description is consistent with the Ghosts guidebook/strategyguide. I wouldn't be surprised if we found the code relating to this element sometime in the near future, and confirmed that they are both indeed correct. ;) The source is what matters the most.

Er...wasn't tmartn one of the people who worked on the strategy guide in the first place for mw3? I don't know, and I don't know why that would matter.

it would matter because it would completely usurp the point of his data matching the guidebook. they wouldnt be two sets of data with the same conclusion, it would be the same data posted into two places with just as miuch chance of being wrong as the other. Uh, we're talking about Ghosts, not MW3.

"what he says seems to be consistent with the code for MW3, which was likely reused in Ghosts" it could easily be rehashed info regardless of whether or not the game changed the mechanics. Non, we mean that later, Tmartn apparently made a video about ICU in Ghosts, and I was referring to the fact that his ICU description is consistent with the Ghost's guidebook information as well as the MW3 information. Edit: Well, he may just be getting that information from the guidebook as well :P

In short: ICU is pretty gosh darn golly gee whiz good to have. In a game where you die so extremely fast, not really... There's not many instances where you can actually escape from gun fire and go somewhere to heal. Would have been more useful in BO2.
