All the more reason to stick with the P226, anyway. That's a weird way to spell M9A1 lmao; it's burst remember

That does less damage, drops off faster and makes the accuracy challenges harder.

Yes, it's burst, and the in-burst firerate is 750 RPM. I'm not sure what the burst delay is, likely 0.15 or 0.20, which makes the overall RPM either 461 or 409. It fires so slow. You'll be firing the P226 faster than that. The M9A1 also has terrible accuracy, I've found it's pretty much incapable of consistently taking the one shot to do the keep your accuracy above 50% challenge. If it's firing a burst but you can only hit one out of three bullets when you're trying to be as accurate as possible, that's a really bad sign. I'd say this pretty clearly shows why almost everyone just uses the MP-443. Unless you're running pistols only, the overwhelming majority of aliens are going to be within 250 inches, in which case it's really easy to just hold down the trigger and watch enemies get mowed down quickly.

The best pistols are the MP-443 Grach and the .44 Magnum. The Grach is full auto so it can spray and it is better than the .44 at long range. The .44 is better at close range because the hit detection with full-auto guns is bad (even in solo) and it is easier to get a higher accuracy with it (and therefore a higher score). The P226 and M9A1 both don't have many advantages over the Grach and .44.
In solo a Scout is 2 knife kill regardless of relics. In co-op it is 2 knifes with no relics, 3 knifes with less damage done. In solo, a hunter takes 5 knifes with no relics and 7 with less damage. There is also someway to critically hit aliens with knifes, as it is possible to kill a hunter in 4 knifes in solo (no relics). The score is also weird. Most scouts give +$60 when you kill them but sometimes give +$90.

Yep no reason to use anything over .44 And cash depends on kill hits. A final hit to a weak spot (you get a red x marker like deadeye) gives you a 50% cash bonus. Scorpions and Hunters will then give you 300, Tanks $1500 etc...

Second best damage, the best range, and pretty good firecap make it an excellent weapon in my opinion.

Maybe the stats say that the P226 is the best but I have not had much success with it. I found it hard to get the max firerate on it while being accurate while trying to not get hit, it's much easier for me to press the trigger much more slowly (.44) or just hold it down / burst fire (Grach). I find that now pistol choice doesn't matter much, as the portable turrets / grenade turrrets are much more effective than any pistol.

I stopped using those long ago, unless you have someone cover your six or have a riot shield you're a sitting target. Pistols are useful throughout the entire first stage up to the barrier hive on PoC and Breeder on Nightfall.

If you set them up in proper locations against walls and such then the aliens can't get behind you. I've gotten 400k+ scores on PoC and Mayday, and 350k+ scores on Nightfall by using these turrets. The only thing that turrets can't easily handle are Rhinos, but none of the pistols can easily handle them either. Turrets are also much better at dealing with distance targets (especially Scorpions and Seeders).

Yeah, a fully upgraded, manned mini-gun turret is a thing of beauty. If you're not running the money relic, you can chain one turret to the next all day long.
Almost all of the 5-relic solo runs I watched used the manned mini-gun turret.

Thanks for the stats, guys. I decided to calculate the pistols' DPS so that we can know what's actually the best.
Normal:
P226: 1000-706 .44: 1250-375 M9A1: 1000-625 MP443 1000-467
Specialist 1-3:
P226: 1200-847 .44: 1500-450 M9A1: 1200-750 MP443 1200-560
Specialist 4: (I assume the extra 50% applies to the base damage, not the +20% damage)
P226: 1500-1059 .44: 1875-563 M9A1: 1500-938 MP443 1500-701
Take from that what you will.
I prefer the magnum. Much more controllable, and can kill a Scout in just 2 shots, making it a potential 3 kills per load.
Could we perhaps get some damage values for the Ammo Types, Strike Packages, and Equalizers?

But does anyone have the stats for all the other weapons? The ARX, the Chain SAW, the MTAR-X, the AK-12, etc.?

No, but I just found an interesting fact:
Search boxes only give attachments that are compatible with your gun, so if you buy a chainsaw you will only find muzzle brakes and rapid fires. If you have Mtars, you can find anything from red dots to grips.

If all you have is a pistol it'll still give you attachments.

But I wonder if it has something to do with if someone else has a gun that's compatible with it, i.e. if you have a Chain SAW and someone else has an AK-12. I doubt that, though. But still, why do we not have the stats for all the other guns? I noticed they're different from multiplayer (differnet magazine sizes, different ranges, etc.) so I'm dying to know.

I just chalk it up to IW not thinking things through, how did it take them to fix challenges conflicting with relics and other similar problems? And what Maus said. They just don't care to.

Eh I don't really care, pretty much big magazine= good, fast reload = good pretty much sums up extinction.

the reason they arent there is because anyone who is particularly competent with it doesn't really care for extinction. maybe you could ask probaddie or marvel to teach you how to dig through the stuff I do remember probaddie, when skimming through it, mentioned that the majority of the data was the same for multiplayer besides a select few; in which case there isn't much need to get exact numbers since weapons arent directly fighting one another. Well, I'm on Xbox One, not PC, so I don't know if I can do that. Is it really that hard?

I mean I don't want all the complicated stats like ADS time and stuff, just the damage and range values.

I've noticed that when I buy a chainsaw and open boxes with my pistol out I get any attachment. Have you done it with the chainsaw in your hand at the time of opening boxes?
