Looks like the Digital Pro Edition is a good bargain: $100 for full game + 4 DLC + digital items , if you plan to buy all the DLCs.

Of all the maps to bring back they pick Pipeline?

My guess is that a lot of the maps don't work with the new verticality. Pipeline has rooftops that were already accessible, and could be jumped to using the exo.

Atlas Corporation? Sounds familiar. Isn't that messed up in the FPS world? Games just use each other's terms liberally 1) Titanfall has a map called "War Game", which is the name of Competitive MP of Halo 4; 2) Destiny has a class called "Titan"; 3) The next Halo is named "Halo: Guardians", while guardian is the term Destiny uses to refer to players' role; 4) Now we have CoD:AW use "Atlas", which is one of 3 Titan chasis in Titanfall; ...

No freaking idea what this means. Don't tell me that there are more weapons I can't get if I don't buy these Collection's editions. 2 is already bad enough...

I'm sure that won't ruin the map completely.
Well it looks like scorestreaks are back, but there is going to be map specific ones also? Either they will give you a slot for map specific scorestreaks or they will bring back field orders or something.

Does look dangerously similar. Pay to win coming to CoD?

Does look dangerously similar. Pay to win coming to CoD? Well they let you unlock them by leveling up as well, but the potential for someone to just buy a bunch to unlock everything first is there.

That makes sense. The description reads "prepared for battle as soon as you boot up with five bonus supply drops, which unlock a variety of in-game content from player customization gear to weapons.", The wordings of "as soon as" and "in-game content" seem to suggest exactly what you imply here: let you unlock 5 things early at early game? If that's the case, I am not too concerned. I'll unlock them "naturally".

Shouldn't everything be unlocked from the start to be completely fair anyway?

Shouldn't everything be unlocked from the start to be completely fair anyway? That's never a goal of CoD. I believe that they want the "core" players to think that they need to get started as early as possible to have an advantage over others in the early game. This can generate early hype like mid night lines at Game Stop and strong first week sales numbers. BO2 is most notorious, it forces you to prestige all the way if you want everything unlocked. Titanfall took a completely different approach: players are given the most easy-to-use option at the early levels.

Does it really matter about the slippery slope of paying for earlier access to some cosmetic items....
....when we live in the world where most of the members of this message don't bat an eye about dropping hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on other PEE's (Performance Enhancing Equipment), things like headsets, XIM controllers, scuff controllers and god knows whatever else (looking at gaming glasses, etc..)

The main thing people are against is "pay to win", for the sake of principle. I for one won't feel good on either end: beat somebody because I have money to buy something better, or get beaten because I did not feel like spending money on something.
I had issues with Ghosts' Ripper: it is bad enough that you have to pay to get it, it is even worse that Season Pass holders get to use it early (on the year I decided to never buy into CoD's Season Passes again because I almost never play the 4th DLC when it came out)

We all 'pay to win' in some form or manner. We use better controllers, better headsets, better TV's/monitors, as well as group up with friends when beating down a majority of the playerbase that has none of these things.

How about this setup (if you buy into all the gaming related ads you see on the internet) for Console: 1) Scuff Controller / XIM 2) KontrolFreaks on your Controller / gaming mouse & keyboard 3) Gaming headset 4) "1ms" gaming monitor 5) Gaming chair 6) Gaming glasses 7) Gaming performance enhancement drinks & drugs 8) Super high speed internet

GameStop shows that the Season Pass is priced at $49.99: www.gamestop.com/browse?nav=16k-3-Call+of+Duty+Advanced+Warfare+Season+Pass . So most likely each DLC will cost $15 individually. Digital Pro Edition now looks quite attractive for players who plan to buy the Season Pass. I am still going to stay put and get DLCs individually (only if they look good after release). Unless I want to get >=3 DLCs, which is extremely unlikely, I still end up spending less money (2 DLC = 60 + 15 * 2 = 90).

For sure. KontrolFreaks? Yup. And I'll be picking up a Scuf as soon as they have the EMR function for the PS4 controllers. These are all things that can be used for multiple games. Paying to unlock gear early? Maybe if you're 15 and have your parents credit card and no sense of the value of real money. You know those energy drinks are going to be linked to diabetes or cancer or some other horrible, ass-rotting disease some day.

I have a friend who bought gaming glasses but didnt really take the things seriously. They kinda gave me a headache when I tried to use them though. I can definitely apprieciate gaming peripherals in general though. I have a coworker who wears Gaming glasses while working. He claims that it removes glares and is very good at reducing eye strain, I tried it for a few seconds but can't feel any difference.

I can't remember the study. But they put sensors and cameras on people as they sit at a screen and found the rate of blinking decreased to a third of normal. And obviously rapid changes in bright and dark and contrasting colors can lead to problems. I bought that PS3 TV that came with 3D glasses and I did have less headaches and sore eyes if I used them turned off.
