Maybe i should have put this into the HSV1 clan wars update thread, where our attempt as the CoD Clan Championships is being discussed....but i am going this it's own thread. As it's just to freaking crazy

Numerous users across social media are having issues connecting to Call of Duty: Ghosts on any platform as of right now, and it seems like the servers are being DDoS’d by the people who took down PSN a couple of weeks ago. Beachhead Studio has even confirmed that Clan Wars for this weekend have been put on hold due to ‘server issues.’
Hack group called LizardSquad has posted on Twitter “Parts of Call Of Duty Ghosts #offline.”
.....As i mentioned in the other post, we qualified as one of the 28 clans for the Championships. So yeah, we were right there, HSV1, right in the middle of this mess.
We started organizing teams at 10am ET this morning and got our squads ready with only six minutes to spare before the start. Things got off to a decent start with HSV1 battling in a ridiculously tough bracket. Eight top notch clans going all out. Forty minutes into the battle, we were in 3rd place (of 8 teams) doing pretty well, with the British clan 'SOW' in the lead. Around the 44 minutes , things started to go haywire. Some of our scores stopped counting, causing us to miss out on a key node battle. Around 2:53pmET, suddenly, our squads starting to go offline, one by one by one. We signed back in, only to immediately start getting dropped again. At 3:02pmET, we were all shut out.
Twitter starting lighting up with tweets, from all the clans involved. Complete chaos and confusion. At one point, there were only 58 people online in the CoD world. I took a screen shot of it, will post it later. I will probably never see that again in my life, that low of a number. So we tried to regroup and got our squads into XBL parties, to try and keep everyone in contact through the confusion. We all soon found out, and within the hour, BeachHead studios and Activision just had to call off the event. It wasn't going to happen. All the brackets were close and tight races.
So now what? The solution that just came down not long ago was to do a complete reset. Which means EVERYTHING will be decided in just ONE round tomorrow afternoon. One four hour battle. For all the marbles.
Good lord. What a crazy trip this has been.
