I've never seen Star Trek before but I love ciphers/logic puzzles. I don't mind trying to crack it. Is anyone else working on this, or should I try it on my own? Most importantly, Is this the full text that needs to be translated? If I'm doing replacement by hand then it's a lot easier to do duplicates all at once. This file was the only one I was able to decrypt that came out with something readable, every other file either failed while decrypting or crashed while opening. I'll go through the files again, but it takes a long time to go through them, with all the gun files and all. Do you have the same file for a different COD or a fps that sledgehammer has done (if they do this part of the code)? This is hard to know what to make of this without knowing anything about coding, since I don't have a coding backround. I'm getting logical coherent strings, but it's hard to know if these are commands or what. Also, apperantly this code includes the 'most profane' Klingon slur/insult in existence. Supposedly it's a big deal. Would this code include dev/programmer notes to themselves/eachother that aren't actual code? I think I've heArd that happens In code but not sure. Anyways, I do t know why they'd include a word on the level of motherF****r or ni***r unless this code includes notes such as "don't F*** with this part, etc" as in the programmer didn't clean up his notes? or maybe this is all one long rant against people trying to decode the stats? I just don't want to spend 10 hours on this just to find out its one big Rick roll. Ill post a grouping with definitions when I get home. I'm at wok right now and have to post on my phone die to we filter.

This bit looks like it might be recoil. LOW I assume means either prone or crouch.
EDIT: first section might be hip-fire recoil, second section ADS recoil.
2nd EDIT: I think pIj is referring to frequency, vay' something to do with random numbers. What are the usual recoil parameters?

The actual words are pretty clearly gibberish, but whatever. The OP is just the start of a weapon file, here's the rest of it <snip> thats all im posting for now cuz this is a pain in the ass Mousey, do you have a BOII weapon file in English for comparison? It would make things easier if I knew exactly what parameters to look for, how they're usually grouped together, and what the typical values for the numbers are. Ideally, I'd want a file for a couple of different weapon types (especially auto, burst, semi-auto) and something where the rate of fire changes over time (e.g. AN-94 from BOII). Also, do you know what weapon this is that I'm looking at?

Ok, maybe not that translatable. I agree it's probably related to Goliath or something. I think the "fuck players" section might be the self-destruct or does it just have on-death explosion damage? I don't know I've gotten like two Goliaths and the thing was rubbish. It seems like there's a sense of grammar in parts, where just translating word by word kind of puts stuff out of order in certain situations. So maybe they do have a space-cadet programmer who went through and translated all of their variable names. Pretty hilarious

I think this is a multiplier for the damage the goliath takes. Ok, maybe not that translatable. I agree it's probably related to Goliath or something. I think the "fu ck players" section might be the self-destruct or does it just have on-death explosion damage? I don't know I've gotten like two Goliaths and the thing was rubbish. It seems like there's a sense of grammar in parts, where just translating word by word kind of puts stuff out of order in certain situations. So maybe they do have a space-cadet programmer who went through and translated all of their variable names. Pretty hilarious Here's what I got on the first part. There's bound to be massive amounts of translating errors. Since the second part wasn't up, and I didn't feel like starting over it's not included: I think we're getting somewhere. We could do with a few more weapon files to have a go at. If we got a weapon file we could be certain was a standard weapon - an unmodified AR or something - then we'd be able to be quite certain we'd cracked it. With the progress we've made, we're getting to where we can start actively looking for specific stats like RPM. Mousey or anyone have any more weapon files for us to play with?
