What does rapid fire do on snipers?

Broken seems to be a Scuf's naturally state. My right paddle recently stopped clicking, and I don't know if it when it'll stop working all together. I ordered a Cinch controller this weekend. I've been equally happy with Cinch and Scuf. Used to use Scuf's exclusively, but ordered a Cinch last year to try them out.
My Cinch had issues. The left button quit working. Sent it back and they fixed it (and cleaned it and replaced the shell) for like $30. I was happy. Couple months later it happened again. I expected them to do something since their fix barely lasted 3 months. They offered to fix it again... for $30. I bought a new Scuf instead thanks to a sweet Black Friday deal. After exchanging emails for a few weeks with Cinch (CS guy talked to his manager, he said), they agreed to fix it for free if I send it in. I got my new Scuf now and should really send the Cinch in, but I've been lazy.
So yeah. I've had small issues with each brand. And the Cinch CS isn't the "small company going out of it's way for the customer" it used to be. So the difference between the two is negligible, IMO.

I initially went with Scuf over Cinch because Scuf had just rolled out button remapping. i really wanted buttons instead of paddles, but Cinch didn't offer remapping. Now it does.

How does one make the Man-O-War work? Like optimal compared to dominant ARs, anyway. I just find this point-hungry thing so unattractive, what with needing to account for slow ass ADS, ADD and fire rate. Only real thing going for it is impressive headshots with High Caliber, but then you lose out an essential attachment.
Kind of at a loss here, so any takers? I ran it with ELO, Quickdraw, and Stock, but hit a wall with it around 1.91 K/D, a number I easily passed with the KN-44. For me, its inaccuracy is its real limitation. As far as I am concerned, the KN-44 is where it's at with ARs. The irons don't bother me, so I tend to run QD, stock, and high caliber. Improves the handling speed/feel and increases the damage with inevitable headshots from mostly vertical recoil. It's not my go-to AR, but I can use it aggressively at times without struggling at long ranges due to it's damage, but the recoil can be a little hard to control at times. The KN is definitely my favorite AR, but it's not competitive at longer ranges due to it's recoil and poor TTK at those ranges. Been using it silenced lately and it's been great.

In theory it seems good because it's a 3-4 shot kill at all ranges, but the 3 shot gets reduced a bit, and that's it's real calling card. Losing a few meters could be the difference between life and death, but at the same time being off the radar and the reduced muzzle flash helps too. It can go either way for me, I'll use it more and see.

The buttons are nice, that's for sure. How about the trigger stops? I saw they have adjustable ones now or something. Mine has just the small screws in the triggers. The Scuf doesn't offer trigger stops at all; they say it's not necessary. Do you have a preference one way or the other? I can't make up my mind.

Opted not to. They do offer adjustable stops, but the method of doing so seemed awkward. Plus I'm not sure how much of a benefit they really are outside of semi-auto/burst weapons, which I don't really like. And I tend to jam/over-sample those as the controller is now, anyway.

how do you oversample? you just press and hold. I feel like oversampling as while died with the destiny/BO3 era.

I thought that you lost the default classes once you prestiged.
Then I hit R1 last night on the class selection screen and found they were still there.

Ah, makes sense. My trigger finger sucks, so the shortened pull is nice for me. I'm just not convinced it actually makes a noticeable difference.

i mean if you don't like the length of the bumper press for firing why not just change to L1/R1? That's what i do

Also tried using Stick and Move layout last night for a change and had some success but went back to default and did much better. Damn muscle memory.

I used to play on L1/R1, but felt much more comfortable when I switched to L2/R2. And it's not that I don't "like" the length of travel, I'm moreso curious if I get any benefit out of a shorter pull. I haven't noticed any difference between the Scuf (no trigger stop) and the Cinch (with trigger stop).

I am using Stick and Move and its great for the jump shots but im struggling with the melee now. I have decide to go for a Scuf so no more excuses when that arrives.

Well, it's been a few months since launch...but I finally caved in and started using the Argus (and maybe eventually the Brecci) on a few maps that I can't stand (Combine and Evac, to name a few).
I should have done it sooner.

The Hero challenges are pretty rage inducing. I'm averaging one 6 kill/4 kill game a night with each one. This is going to take a while...

I'm playing too much CoD. Starting to hate its guts again. Aim assist being a pain in the ass, and the sudden resurgence of players jittering and people who can jitter yet shoot you perfectly. Fu ck those guys in particular. question. Have you noticed some weird lag things popping up in the past week? I haven't been on much recently, like last night was the first time in about six days, and then, it was five days before that. Playing solo, I ran into some very weird games, where I just couldn't kill anyone. Like going 15-15 in a FFA game, against a bunch of people with >1.0 KD's (mine is like 2.20). Like how does this happen? It happened a few times, where I was constantly outshot. Also saw three games last night, where I couldn't even move well across the map. The stuck in sand type of game, where the jitter/stop motion thing is going on. Three games like that. I actually had another hour or two to play... and I just stopped.

When I wrote that post, it was particularly bad that night. I have since attributed some of these experiences to the fact I tend to play on a west coast host when I play in some of my Dom parties, whereas when I do S&D, it's almost always east cost and thus the experience is much better for me. On the rare occasions I do get a nice host in Dom, I do much better and can be more aggressive. However, that doesn't explain how a certain few individuals were lagging and jumping frames while maintaining perfect accuracy while shooting me. This screams connection manipulation and a not so subtle form of cheating, but I don't have proof and not enough ass holes are doing this to warrant fussing too much over the hows and why's. It did remind of the early days of MW3 where having a shitty connection was an actual advantage though. Aim assist doesn't work as well on bad hosts which messes with my zone and rhythm. The quality of hosting is only going to decline, especially when the dlc starts to arrive, which means having friends to play with will become more important because host control will become key.

Aim assist defying strafers got you down? Try CAMP KRM. CAMP KRM will ensure stock pharo users will never get the better of your aim assist targetting. CAMP KRM promises as long as you're within 360 degrees and 1 inch of the enemy, you can bet your sweet 0.75 kd ass you'll get the drop on all and every enemy! CAMP KRM! Tell your friends! Tweet it!
Unless they have a vesper. Then your game breaks and you lose automatically.

Now that you mention it, strafing is really fucking strong in this game. Provides a disjointed advantage to SMGs, in particular.

Made getting snipers diamond hard due muscle memory used to starfing. Just think what the game would be like with BO2 stock on ARs and LMGs....

Tag and Bag medals have some arbitrary timer whereby you don't get the medal even if they're still red when you kill them. I don't get it. Hero challenge would be so much easier if it lasted the entirety of the wallhack highlight. How the hell did I ever complete the double kills for this challenge?

Think worked out why so many people die so much in this game movement system adds another random layer. Hero challenge would be so much easier if it lasted the entirety of the wallhack highlight. How the hell did I ever complete the double kills for this challenge? All of them have a time limit believe glitch is 4 seconds for example. Meant to have gotten double kills in the past with vision pulse before even starting that challenge. Some of these challenges are bad ideas which is shame

Right but glitch makes sense to have a timer, since you can't kill anyone while glitching. For VP it's annoying because they're still tagged by your Pulse, but it doesn't count.

My guess is that Treyarch screwed up the timer by having it not start until you finish both pulses. That would explain why you have kills where you killed the guy right after they turned red yet it doesn't count as a VP kill.

Because if not then I'm guessing the timer gets screwed up when it takes into account the moment your pulse ends.

Omg I was trying my hardest to get tag and bag kills yesterday, I could only get 4 kills in a game twice. I need two more for the hero face for Outrider. I think you need to hear the noise in front of you and kill them pretty quickly to get it. If they are behind you I don't think it works, even if they are red.
