Pretty late into the season, but we can't let a forum go on without some football in it. No one attempted to make one in the past? That ain't good for the ol manhood.
I'm from Seattle, so I'm for the Hawks. Playoffs are guaranteed, but we have some serious o-line issues that'll surely ruin us in divisional or higher.
So what teams you losers root for? Please don't say Cowboys, in which case, Cowboys suck, regardless of that record. They'll lose in playoffs right away.

Fuck Burfict. That stupid noise last year has put me in a permanent /carecup coma. I actually strongly admire the Belichick machine they have in New England.

Be glad you ain't the other Ohio team. Sucks, what happened to Green. Lafell and Boyd wouldn't be able to take them far, even if their record wasn't so bad this season. I'd take Green at third for WR, over both Beckham and Hopkins. Sucks even more that he went down one game from hitting 1000.

I'd agree with that sentiment, but I'd sooner say baseball is the incestuous child of the American sports world. Roles are strict, one team has to run a fixed path because they have to, and strategies are nearly non-existent. I mean, can someone be slightly better at taking first but fumble third? Is there a guy out there who can play shortstop way better than anyone else? Baseball is a game where strategy is barely existent, so games tend to boil down to having better, more consistent players winning matches. The playoffs are a neat concept, but everything afterwards is an awful format that seldom gives the best-performing teams the win. I'd watch MTG if I wanted to watch better players get shafted by players with better luck- because then that only makes things more fun to watch when that happens.
Meanwhile soccer is a game where everyone is beyond stupid good at defending. You wait 1 hour plus an unholy number of pauses for maybe about three goals scored over that period. Mechanically they're okay for games invented several hundred years ago, but holy hell the action is so monotonous because each team has more defenders. That's why I'd sooner watch basketball- stuff happens and goals get scored all the time. Each team plays out their hand, someone scores eventually, and everything resets.
Hockey and football are similar in that respect, but people beat each other up and slam into each other every now and again. That's always fun to watch.

I don't care about sports, the only thing I even remotely like about Football is Superbowl parties, because it's easy to fake your way through sports parties and nachos and wings are delicious.

Diehard Vikings fan. They're doing an excellent job at being the 2015 Falcons. They better win this week and prolly the next if they want AP back. I mean, they play the Jags and Colts. It should be a given. Then he'll bail them out in the last two. Don't even know if they can make playoffs right now even if they win out because of NFC South having two teams at 7-5. *Edit* Forgot the Buccs have to play Saints twice and also a game at Dallas. They're likely out. So Vikings do have a chance. Them and the Packers, because it's not a good look to let the Lions represent your division in the playoffs lol.

REDSKINS GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS! probably If they win out, they'll be ahead of the other 10s with that tie. As long as Kelley/Crowder gets me points, then they can do whatever, lol. And then they'll overpay for Cousins for next season.

Diehard Packers fan here (home-team) and I've always really liked the Raiders too (thanks to Bo Jackson in 1991's Tecmo Super Bowl). Btw, hope your team continues to suck Usagi, I hope yours fails at making the playoffs Will, and it was great seeing your team crap the bed yesterday PSIII. I absolutely respect the Patriots illram for how consistently successful they are, but at the same time I despise them for that same reason. @ Beaver - Baseball is indeed a great sport with tons of strategy occurring all the time throughout. It may not be something you enjoy, but maybe that's only because you weren't raised in an environment where it was appreciated. IMO, Basketball could be argued as being the most entertaining professional sport there is, but the diva level of the majority of its players may be the worst of all the sports. I've come around on Soccer or Futbol being a pretty awesome sport which is saying something given my environment growing up painted soccer as being a truly lame sport; nevertheless, I do greatly prefer the entertainment and enjoyment of Futsal and even Indoor Soccer over regular Soccer. Hockey is a pretty entertaining sport to see live. On the other hand I wouldn't consider Hockey as a more favorable sport above Basketball, Football, Baseball, Soccer, or even many Motorsports, but that's probably because my skating ability isn't great so it's hard to say how fun it is to actually play and since WI doesn't have an NHL team (we have an American Hockey League team instead - Admirals), plus I refuse to root for the Blackhawks, my perspective on Hockey could be a bit skewed. Just going to throw some love out there for some additional sports: Volleyball, Tennis, Golf, and Ping Pong too. Sports are the best!

As much as I hate SF (especially after the whole stadium fiasco), I do miss the 2010-2013 period. Pretty much a squad and was scary as shit, especially in 2013. You guys got a long way to go, at least three or so years, starting with front office and new franchise QB. Oh yeah, and Chip Kelly's college offense. Arizona's a crappy replacement at main rival, and the Rams are trash like always. So, get better, for the sake of the NFC West because it really needs it right now.

As a Bay Area native whose entire family consists of diehard Niners fans, I can empathize with their plight. Trent Baalke needs to be shot into the sun. And Chip Kelly should be fired. This team looks poorly coached, among many other problems. How do you consistently suck in the second half? Teams are out maneuvering them after half time and their absolutely horrible offense leads to an exhausted defense that can't play four quarters. That was supposed to be Chip Kelly's bread and butter and a QB like Kap was supposed to be his dream QB. I don't care how good he was in Oregon or in his first year in the Eagles, can him. (One can argue he screwed up the Iggles too.)
Little Yorkey needs to clean house and pray he ever has a coach as good as Harbaugh ever again. What a dumbass.

Yeah, Kelly ruined the Eagles too. They cleaned up shop after he left. Still suck, it's the Eagles, but he didn't make things better after Reid. Look at what happened with Demarco Murray (so glad he's killin it in Tennessee).
Winning wouldn't help them out now. If somehow the Browns win one then they can get the QB of their choice. And I'm sure any dude would rather get drafted by the 49ers instead of the Browns. Who knows what'll happen to RG3.

I'll take the new front office, and a new coach, but before I get rid of Kap, I'd actually like him to have an offensive line that can perform basic football blocking tactics. When we had a healthy line, we did some good things. Some very very good things. But as I mentioned earlier, this season doesn't count and is just more of a preseason/scrimmage season than a real season where we count it.

Kaepernick restructured his contact a couple months ago, then voided the last year. He'll be a free agent after the season. I'm not sure he'll sign back with them, but if you're the team with a drastic need to reboot, you'll need to draft a new QB regardless if he stays or not. He's been doing good enough that he'll be picked up for sure in the off season by any team with QB needs, including as a starter, so I hope it goes well for him. Glad that he's been doing OK (except for that Bears game). Speaking of Harbaugh, rumors are flying about him and LA since Fisher was cut.

Glad that he's been doing OK (except for that Bears game). Speaking of Harbaugh, rumors are flying about him and LA since Fisher was cut. The Niners are "built" to run the ball; you can't do that without an offensive line. The offensive line was decimated by injuries in Harbaugh's last year with San Fran, a shit show last year and virtually non existant this year. You put Colin Kapernick behind men in Niner jerseys who can block for him, and the Niners are fighting the Hawks for the NFC west title (okay... more than that, but I digress) San Fran have sosososososoosososososososo many needs right now that this ship won't get righted until 2020... but they are not a two win team. The Niners had SO many personell and player losses/retirements/whatever that you just can't recover from that As for Harbaugh, I can understand why the Niners let him go... he did fantastically for them, but when your GM comes into the room at the end of a practice and you tell him to leave because this is a room for men, you'd better win a title to save your butt. I think Harbaugh in LA would not work, but I could be wrong. This is just depressing the hell out of me now... I need a break

The "room for men" comment was at Little Yorkey, not Baalke, which is accurate but perhaps lacking in tact. The scuttlebutt is Baalke and Harbaugh never got along, probably because Baalke is an idiot, and Baalke gave York an ultimatum that it was either Baalke or Harbaugh. Manbaby York chose poorly.
I disagree that Kap is an effective QB anymore. Whatever magic he had is gone. He lacks accuracy and has not demonstrated the ability to read a defense and go through his progressions. It happens. RG3, Vick, Tebow... the NFL is littered with the corpses of QB's who had success for a period of time and then got "figured out." Time to move on.

I always thought he was talking about Ballke... thanks.
You know why Kap isn't effective? He's played 2 seasons of fearing for his life and getting punished because his offensive line hasbeen/is complete shyte. Now, I'm not talking about a HoF oline and allow him time to sit back and order a pizza, but at least give him more than "one mississipi" without a linebacker ready to crush him at the "one" and another wrapping up his knees at "Missi" Also remember that Kap has been hurt for the past 2 seasons too. Yes, he's had a bunch of games this year but no one on the Niners is competant this year... hell, they should have beat the Jets on sunday... how the hell does dawson miss 2...

Ugliest 24-3 win for us ever. Did not give me any confidence for a deep playoff run one bit. Rams are terrible, yet we couldn't run or do much of anything else. Bad looking sets of downs with the worst play calling ever, courtesy of Bevell. Next week will be a better test against the Cardinals, who'll look for a revenge kind of send-off for us.
