Have you guys taken a look at the codgundata site? It seems to be gaining traction. The owner of the site has reportedly tested all weapons at 240hz to plot out all attachment effects on all individual weapons. Cannot confirm how reliable his data is though I've been using this sheet: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11yTy4RcH6-8dSzgfODmMz-Yy8dgc1arfxm0ynfQbMY8/htmlview#, which is just a compilation of XclusiveAce's testing. But hot damn, that codgundata site looks great. He has all kinds of new information we did not previously know about, this is gold. Exact percentages on how barrels affect bullet velocity, or recoil? Hip fire area percentages too? This is fantastic, thanks so much for sharing! It's interesting to note how he compounds modifiers, i.e. monolithic suppressor (10% range boost) + long barrel (40% range boost) = 54% total boost, rather than 50%. Also he seems to have even more specific stats, probably due to using a higher framerate like you said (RAM-7 long barrels are 27% and 37% on his chart, versus the 25% and 40% we had previously been told) I do REALLY like how it is very mobile-friendly too, I'm definitely going to be bookmarking this on my phone and referencing it during play sessions

I've shifted my own meta now too, everything I wrote before about RPGs isn't that great anymore. Everyone has EOD, all vehicles get trophied, I just don't place much value in running them anymore. I either run: long-range AR (Grau or M13) with an MP5, or a mid-range AR (M4 or RAM) with a sniper. The Grau and MP5 are still great top-tier picks even after the nerfs. The Grau is just a bit weaker in those mid-range battles now, but it's still a laserbeam. MP5 feels like nothing changed, just swap out no stock for stippled or something (no stock got a big nerf).

The game feels completely different now, like some mashup between Plunder and Battle Royale. It's absolute chaos, toooons of action and nonstop aggression, almost no slow or campy moments. I quite like it to be honest, but Jailbreak letting completely wiped squads back in (who happen to still be spectating) is really dumb. It should only spawn back in dead members of teams that are still alive in the game. The other two events are cool, getting a VSAT basically for free whenever firesale pops off is great. And the escort-to-da-chopper contract gives a TON of money. My squad is regularly running around with $100k+ now, you can't spend it fast enough. Buy stations have become nutty hotspots.

I used both the RAM and Grau for a while but have basically settled on the M4. I don't see a point in using anything else other than boredom with the M4. Though you definitely can't go wrong with the M4, since the purple tracers have come out I've been using the Grau almost every game, and I now understand why the pros/streamers love it so much: - The BEST iron sights in the game, whether you go with the Archangel or the Nexus barrel. It's like getting a free red dot sight (better than some sights, even) - The lowest recoil of all the ARs. M13 is close, but I find the Grau's even easier to control (both are laser beams though). You can compete with snipers at 100m+ with the Grau, it's that good The TTK is horrible though at CQB range, it gets beat by just about everything. That is where the M4 & RAM shine - they can compete with SMGs up close. I see a lot of people pair the Grau with a MP5/MP7/P90. But Rockets are still too good to give up

Agreed on all other settings and the FOV slider. But why did you pick this audio setting? I have been going back and forth, not sure which one is best. I really think it depends on the sound signature of you headphones too. What kind of setup do you use? Care to elaborate further on why you made this choice? I don't know if there is one audio mix that is universally "best", the audio in this game is balls, all around. I've seen different pro players & streamers recommend all different sound settings. For me, I like Midnight because it seems to quieten a lot of the louder sounds, which in turn means I don't talk into my microphone as loudly, which is great because I do my gaming when my kids are napping. I use a Lucidsound LS35X headset: lucidsound.com/products/ls35x-wireless-surround-sound-gaming-headset-for-xbox-one

Here's just a few settings I've found work great for me (on console)
Film grain: off Motion blur: off Weapon blur: off Minimap: square Audio mix: midnight
Aim assist: standard Response curve: dynamic Use/reload: contextual tap Depleted switch: disabled
The lack of a FOV slider on console is painful. I get really dizzy inside buildings sometimes. And for a game that has forced crossplay, that's not really fair that PC players can adjust FOV but console players cannot.

The meta, since launch, has been RPGs, and continues to be so, even with the latest "nerf" (which actually turned out to sort of be a buff. radius went from 10m to 9m, but damage increased). The reason RPGs are broken in warzone is because you can carry 7 rockets, and shoot them every 1.5 freaking seconds with Amped (1s reload, .5s ADS time). Nobody stands a chance. Clears out those attic campers you are bothered by very effectively. In my squad we usually roll with two snipers and two rocketbois, though sometimes we just Foxtrot around and go with all 4 of us using rockets. They're that good. We buy a munitions box every time we pass a buy station, and usually will carry a 2nd one with us, to keep refilling those rockets. I've had several 20+ kill games where the majority of the kills came from RPGs. Seeing a red vehicle pop up on my minimap makes my pants tighten.
My perks/equipment on all classes: EOD, Ghost, Amped, Stun/HB, C4
RAM: Monolithic, Eclipse barrel, commando foregrip, 50 round mags, tac laser Grau: Monolithic, Nexus barrel, commando foregrip, 60 round mags, tac laser M4: Monolithic, Corvus barrel, commando foregrip, 60 round mags, tac laser
All 3 AR classes have RPG secondary
MP7: Monolithic, Ranger barrel, merc foregrip, 60 round mags, stippled grip P90: Monolithic, Retribution barrel, fly strap, stippled reargrip, sleight of hand
Both SMG classes have a pistol with the fully loaded perk. As pistols/SMGs share ammo, this means I don't have to give up an attachment on my primary. I usually choose the MP7 class when dropping back in later in the game and ammo is less plentiful. First kill I get I swap the pistol for an RPG (as everyone else rolls RPGs too, every corpse has one on it)
I barely use the M4 and P90, I just made those classes so I can troll with pink tracers. But my go-to is definitely the RAM-7 (green tracers). I'll be switching to using the Grau more often than the RAM once the purple tracer pack for it drops next week. I'm a sucker for tracers, pewpewpew. Speaking of which, this game has a great shop model, it's already tricked me into spending more on here in 2 months than I did on Apex in 1+ year.
I also think this game is vastly inferior to Apex Legends. But it has cross platform, and with our hockey season cancelled in the lockdown, my team all started playing video games together to fill the void. But we're all on different platforms, so this game gets our time. Respawn really Foxtroting the dog not having cross platform after 1+ year of "working on it".

Loot boxes have evolved into a positive thing for the gaming industry, due to pressure on them to become cosmetic-only.
Option A - Pay $60 for game, pay $40-$100 for DLC. DLC only comes 1-4 times over the course of a year, then never again. Nobody gets to look like a clown. Option B - Pay $60 for game, DLC free. More updates than A, perhaps for longer than a year. People can pay $5 extra to look like a clown. Option C - Game free, DLC free. Even more updates, for many years. People can pay $15 extra to look like a clown.
Option A is the old style (The CODs we used to like around here). Now COD seems to be following the Titanfall model (Option B). So we get all of the extra content added to the game over the course of a year+ for free, whereas before (option A) we had to PAY for that, and was usually less content total. Option C is clearly the best, which we get from games like Fortnite and Apex Legends. I get to enjoy AAA games completely for free, with them getting continued content updates for several years. Who cares if someone else gets to look like a clown?

Been enjoying the Hemlock as well, the burst fire helps me manage my ammo and focus on aiming in closer range fights. It's like 100x better in single fire than in burst. Polar opposite to me. I despise the holo sights, to the point where I actually prefer iron sights. I will only use the 1x Digital Threat if I find it, or the 1x "classic" hcog. The 2x hcog is somewhat bearable to me on something longrange like a Wingman. All other sights other than those 3 are a hard pass for me. Xbox One X my dude game runs smooth as a butterfly even at 4k resolution, with the exception of the occasional "slo mo" start to a game (about 1 in 20 games, lasts for 1-2 minutes, is universal to everyone in the match)

I do think respawn messed up with the hit boxes, but you really think wraith abilities are top tier? I think they are mediocre at best. I would take gibraltar skills over wraiths any day, if it came with wraiths hitbox. Her ability is only good when your team pressures the enemy really well, or you play against a bad team. Following a wraiths blue line is very easy unless the whole enemy team keeps putting agro on you (which will result in a nice 3v2 there). It is a good ability if you need to carry a team, but it doesn't offer much for the team fight in general. I would rate the ability B at best. Yeah, she's only really top tier because of her hitbox, I probably overrated her ability. I think you are right too. I just played a handful of matches with Pathfinder today after reading your post, got two 15+ kill game in a row. I am DEFINITELY feeling my old Titanfall 2 hands coming back to me Lately I've been trying to hang on to whatever the first two weapons I have in my hands after the initial fights off the drop. It is doing a great job of keeping the game feel fresh. The only weapons I actively avoid hanging on to are the Mozambique and P2020. I usually end up dropping sniper rifles too, although I did have a blast using a Triple Take as a shotgun through some matches. My favourite and best weapon is the select fire Prowler but I also really like all of the SMGs and the Spitfire.

I'm bored so I made a legend tier list. As this is a twitch shooter where everyone has the same HP and base movement speed, but different hitbox sizes, hitboxes act like an extra passive skill. Respawn kind of messed up with that one, they gave the smallest hitboxes to the characters who already had the best skills. LegendsLifeline: SHitbox: APassive: SAbility: SUltimate: ALifeline's passive is two passives that each are S-tier on their own. They should take away the "fast item use" from her and give it to a new legend, perhaps a backpack-themed packrat type of character. Her shielded fast revive is great enough on its own. Wraith: SHitbox: SPassive: BAbility: BUltimate: CWraith's super small hitbox alone makes her top tier, and a favourite amongst top players. Octane: SHitbox: APassive: AAbility: SUltimate: BOctane's speed boost will give you the edge in every firefight. His trampoline doubles as not just extra mobility for yourself, but you can toss it to downed players on your team to help them get away from being thirsted. Bangalore: SHitbox: BPassive: SAbility: AUltimate: BSince the patch her passive only activates when you actually take damage, so it's not as overpowered anymore. It's still the top tier passive though and enough to keep Bangalore as a top pick. Bloodhound: AHitbox: BPassive: BAbility: AUltimate: SBloodhound's ultimate gives faster movement speed for a pretty long time. Movement speed wins firefights because you can juke out enemy fire. Pathfinder: S/BHitbox: CPassive: FAbility: SUltimate: BIn the hands of a player experienced with the source engine grappling mechanics, this guy can FLY. Coming from Titanfall 2, there is a short learning curve (due to the grapple distance being shorter), but once you get the hang of it this guy is a BLAST to play as, swinging around the map like spider-manbot. Apparently they tightened up his hitbox a bit in the last patch. Mirage: BHitbox: BPassive: FAbility: AUltimate: CThis passive is 100% useless. His ability is skill based and can be used to great effect in the right hands. His ultimate rarely finds use except for the odd "holy shit" escape moments due to the increased movement speed. His best ability is the confidence you get when you play as him thanks to his voice acting. Caustic: CHitbox: CPassive: CAbility: CUltimate: CBunker is your home. Gibraltar: CHitbox: FPassive: CAbility: CUltimate: AEven the best Gibraltar players will have more success using someone else. Hitboxes are too important.

Headshot stuff and how helmets work: https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/at5uu0/current_accepted_helmet_reduction_numbers_are/
tldr = helmets reduce total damage from headshots by 10/20/25%. Skullpiercer adds 40% damage to headshots.

Should I check this out? And who else is playing PS4-side? I mean, it's free, so yeah. That's kind of their whole marketing strategy here with the surprise release - they just want people to try it out for themselves rather than reading a bunch of reviews that would otherwise write it off because "EA bad" memes. It's very polished and smooth (as it's just built from Titanfall 2). Best to just think of it as Titanfall 2 DLC - a new game mode. I absolutely despised Battle Royale before this, and I am now fully hooked.

My go-to is Peacekeeper/Wingman, but I also love me some Longbow. Any combo of those 3 works great for me.
I only just today learned how the precision choke actually works on the Peacekeeper (the longer you hold down ADS the tighter the spread gets, it makes a charge up sound so you know. ~2 seconds it's essentially a slug that will 1-shot someone with full armor if you aim at their head).
Wingman is the most versatile weapon, can be used as both a close-range shotgun equivalent and a long range sniper. It just feels so good.
Pinging a longbow headshot almost always knocks the guy down if the rest of your squad has been shooting in their vicinity.
I haven't extensively used everything, but here is my shitty take at a tier list:
S tier: Mastiff & Kraber (obviously) A+ tier: Peacekeeper, Wingman, R99, Prowler (with select fire) A- tier: R301, Spitfire, Devotion (with wind up mod) B tier: Alternator, Hemlok (single fire), RE-45, EVA-8 C tier: Triple Take, Prowler, Devotion, G7 D tier: P2020, Unarmed F tier: Mozambique

That guy has a retarded take on DPS tho, so how can I trust that the rest of the numbers aren't likewise molested? Yeah WTF is that explanation? So all encounters only last 1 second? No idea if these numbers are pulled from game data or player testing, if it's the latter I would be very weary

Respawn just released a Battle Royale set in the Titanfall universe today... zero advertising or warning of it (probably a smart idea). No Titans or parkour - everyone is a grunt (has a hero-class system though or something IDK). Apparently they weren't going to be satisfied doing Titanfall 3 on the same old source engine so they converted their work into this instead. I just can't see this game doing anything besides flopping very quickly...
I am sad

Rock Band actually taught me how to play real drums. I got the ION Drum Rocker back when it came out (a legit electric drum set that also works as controller input for RB) and from that moved to a real kit. The key to getting started on drums is "limb separation", and the game teaches that perfectly (minus the left foot). Also completing the "Endless Setlist" on Expert with a full 4-piece band is a top gaming memory for me. There were only 3 of us but we took turns singing while playing our instrument at the same time (yeah I'm so cool I bought a microphone stand so I could sing while drumming)

I thought Microsoft had a killer presentation and stole the show.
Been trying my best to follow Cyberpunk 2077 since they teased it like 5 years ago or whenever. I am ridiculous hyped for that now.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will be fun since I'm a dad now and actually know all of the Disney characters, and it coming to Xbox is icing.
