I'm noticing that the Damage/Accuracy/ROF values you see as bars in-game to determine the strength or weakness of a gun are practically useless except as vague indicators. The amount of data they don't show about the gun outweighs what it does tell you, and I'm constantly finding myself shocked at a guns performance in comparison to the litter graphs for it. The following are things I wish we could know more about each gun. (Disclaimer: I don't know exactly what "Accuracy" means, so it could easily cover one or more of these. Let me know if that's the case)
Recoil: Some of the guns suffer from it enormously, making it ludicrously hard to fire from the hip, or even fire in bursts of more than 3 rounds. I'm not sure what the worst guns for this are, but on the opposite end of the spectrum the PP2000 shocked me with it's low recoil for the first 10-15 shots, despite having a terrible "accuracy" rating.
Time To Reload: Self explanatory, except you'd have to factor in how much time you could cancel from the reload animation by quick-swapping weapons. Also of major note, some guns require you to work the action when the reload animation finishes, and some don't. This doesn't appear to have anything to do with the real world, as the G3 never requires you to work the action, even if you fired it until it was empty before reloading, whereas the M60 requires you to work the action every time, even if you have 99 rounds left in the magazine when you (inexplicably) reloaded it, meaning you should still have a round in the chamber.
Range: Where does the weapon damage start to fall off, and where does it hit minimum damage?
Maximum Ammo Count: How many rounds can you store if you stand on an ammo crate until full.
Magazine Size: Also fairly obvious. The m1911 is the arguably best pistol in the game, but suffers from a tiny magazine size. The 200 round LMG's have something on all the 100 round LMGs, but this matters less in HC mode where you probably won't live to fire 100 rounds anyway. The G3 is an amazingly well rounded weapon and could arguably be over powered, except it only gets 20 rounds per magazine.
Am I missing anything else that affects guns?
(Disclaimer: Specific weapon examples were given to highlight a particular feature. If you disagree with my conclusion based on those numbers ["The G3 sucks, noob!"] then simply imagine I said whatever gun you like/hate instead)
