Hey guys! I'm a long time lurker, first time poster and I have a question. I was playing some Bad Company 2 the other day and I unlocked slugs for the shotguns. I tried them out and man are they amazing. Out sniping snipers is so great. Anyways, seeing how great the slugs are I feel that the regular buckshot is just so outclassed by them. There are very few situations where I would prefer to have it over slugs. I'm just asking what are your guy's takes on this topic. I really want to use the regular shotguns but I feel I'm just putting myself at a disadvantage. The maps are just too big and open that you get out ranged by everything else on the battlefield. What do you guys think?

I use normal buckshot for my medic class, and I pretty much just hold down the area around a crate while running back and forth reviving people. It sometimes takes 3 shots to kill people even at fairly close range. But it is pretty satisfying to get that one hit kill when it happens, though.

Sometimes, the best way to clear/defend a building is with twelve shells of automatic rain. Keep it close quarters and the close quarters weapon will reign.
