I've heard many complaints about bolt-action rifles not hitting, and I usually attribute it to "just barely missing". I barely use BA's myself, but I'm starting to try them out, and i ran into an odd problem today, maybe someone could shed some light upon it...
I was using the Springfield with bayonet on Downfall. I had just seen someone, and raised my sights to shoot them. They were standing up out in the open, at a fairly easy-to-hit range. I aim right at their midsection and fire. I didn't get a little hit-symbol or anything, and a nanosecond later, they shoot and I die. I watched their killcam, and sure enough they see me and shoot, killing me, but the odd part is, the killcam doesn't actually show me firing, even though I did, and I fired just before they did.
I hope this made sense, let me know if I need to clarify anything.

Yep that little bit of lag always gets ya... But don't pay too much attention to the kill cams because they don't always show exactly what they saw.... A goo example if someone shoots single shots at you with an SMG in the kill cam it shows it burst firing... U always have to take into account the lag... u saw him he saw you maybe even at the same time and if he hit ya first in his Xbox and you hadn't shot in his yet, if you shot on yours at the same time he started shooting at you for somereason it causes the shot to miss if ya get hit first or at the same time... that's another explanation why it seemed ya didn't shoot, maybe u did and the shot went astray... I dunno bro guess I had to see it... that's why when I play I always try to react as quick as I can because I know even if he looks like he's not shooting he might have just started in his and I have to hurry the f up )
