How do you prefer your medic class setup? I just unlocked the m60, but saw the recoil and was like no.
I run with a m249, mp443(love the large mag), red dot, body armor, and vehicle armor.
Also, standing in an mcom room with other medics while it si being attached is an amazing strategy. You usually survive because of the health everywhere, and you get thousands of points reviving.I got probably close to a thousand in near a minute.

For the closer quarter experience you described:
SAIGA, MP-443, MEDK H+, and MEDK R+
Actually my favorite way to roll the Medic but essentially requires finding those tight quarters, close calls.
Otherwise (open map), I use M249, TRACER, RED DOT, MMN LMG and V SMOKE. 200 clip in the LMG, so no real point in the side-arm... try to help out them Enginees with their rockets. ;D

lol recoil on the M60 doesn't matter when it can kill faster than anything. Burst fire with it and you're set. You think all these people bitching about it being OP care about the recoil?
I'm not begging you to use it, but just give it a shot and you'll see how ridiculous it is.

Agree that M60 recoil is manageable through burst firing but... still don't like it.
Call it a personality flaw but I definitely gravitate toward a challenge. And, straight up SAIGA/USAS or -- my new favorite -- MG3 are a tactical challenge I enjoy immensely.
Enough chit, chat though... Time for some BFBC2!

An MG3 is a challenge. If you want another one, try a pump shotgun with your first setup. With or without slugs, you won't get many kills, and I find it forces you to focus on being a medic.

I like the PKM a lot with RDS and magnum. Otherwise I use a SAW with a scope and magnum.

i got all platinum with medics weapons, my suggest is (depending on how u play): pkm, red dot, WW2 pistol, magnum ammo, [vehicle perk at ur choice] or saw, acog, """","""","""",
side arm has sense when ur main weapon has a too much large spread...if u're shooting then a guy pops up in front of u within 2 metres, u're gonna get killed if u don't use ur pistol...ur lmg in that moment has a too big spread to hit best pistol up to now is WW2 one...(i got platinum of granch, WW2 and Rex), it's the only 1 with a good damage/rateo fire
all this in my opinion, of course

I can't believe how many of these posts have pistols on them. The Medic class is just made for the Tracer Dart. Sure, it has no synergy directly with the class, but what legitimate need do you have for a sidearm with a minimum 100 round magazine primary? Complement your existing support role with a tracer dart to truly be a team player.
The assertion two posts above that the LMG suffers so badly at short range that it requires a pistol backup is (politely put) ludicrous. Even if you're just using the medic so that you don't have to do all that of onerous aiming stuff that comes with playing a real combat class, you still have no need for your pro M-93, bro.

Complement your existing support role with a tracer dart to truly be a team player. The pistols are good for getting caught mid-reload, and are faster to switch to and fire than double tapping Y/triangle/PC keybind and waiting for the pull-out animation to finish. That, and the universal pistol change can cause problems in situations where you need to spawn as quickly as possible and... something something something, lost my train of thought there. Well, there are also infantry-focused maps and situations, so there would be a good pistol over tracer.
