Hey Den,
Can you give me some knifing tips for CoD4? I'm a half-decent short/medium range player but my melee skills are half past six.

Also "objects in the mirror are closer than they appear". That dude running at you is already in range.

Yeah, the Triple Deke is tough to master. Lots of brow-furrowing.

...i have the knife button as the back button (right if lookin side on) cos that is near where i have my thumb so it is really easy and quick to get a kill!! This is a good idea for PC users. I figure that is why melee is (default) mapped to clicking RS on consoles. A player typically has their thumbs on both sticks and their fingers on both triggers during a match. If the player is startled or needs to melee quickly his thumb is already there. Having to reach over to the B button to melee in Halo requires that extra split second to move your thumb from RS to B. On top of that, you lose control of your view for that split second as well. I've seen controller mods where the ABXY buttons are moved to the inside of the hand grips where the middle/ring/pinkie fingers are naturally resting. This allows the player access to core functions on ABXY while maintaining control of their view.

I would really prefer B over the stick on the Xbox, like in halo. that split second isn't that bad IMO. and with the stick you really can lose your sight... as you'll be moving the stick if you try to press it (it isn't a perfect button like the B button) I would love to have an option to switch those 2 buttons

Hmmm.... just stared at my hand while playing today... I think I'm a palm grip type (though my sensitivity doesn't reflect a palm grip user's). Had my eyes locked on to the Deathadder. ;D

yes the deathadder is a very nice mouse, the specs may not be better than the copperhead, but for the price it is a very good buy m8
