This is from a graph I built in Excel a while back. I love Den's and Snakex's charts, but wanted to see more of the data represented graphically so I made my own. I never was quite satisfied with it, but eventually abandoned the project since I wasn't even playing MW2. Anyway I just thought I would post the FAL's chart, because this graph actually shows how the Holographic attachment pushes the minimum damage up and alters the slope of the lines, rather than only changing the minimum damage value. In other words the holographic adds damage throughout medium range, as well as at long range, it just doesn't make that much of a difference. I have, however, verified this through testing, and proven that SP headshot 1 hit kills can be accomplished at slightly longer range with the holographic sight than without it due to the change in the slope. (SP is represented on the chart, but headshots are not, sorry. I considered it, but just having SP on there already makes it pretty cluttered looking.) I just thought since it's so slow I might as well post this and let everybody have a visual look at it, not that it makes a heck of a lot of difference. Uploaded with ImageShack.usNote: All my data comes from Snakex's charts and I take no credit for it. I merely put his numbers into a spreadsheet and designed a complex chart around it. BTW yes the chart is big and busy with too many things on it... I still had a ton of work to do on tweaking the readability of it, but like I said, I basically abandoned the project. So please don't complain about it being ugly, I know already. ;p Anyway... enjoy...

Its very, busy. Do you have a higher quality version?

As in higher resolution? I could stretch it out, but it'd be better to whittle it down and tweak it so the relevant data is displayed more cleanly. But then, that was the next phase of the project. I was still in the feature adding phase when I pretty much abandoned it. (The text BTW is small because the graph was always intended to be smaller than this once cleaned up.)
It's not exactly beautiful, but it does get the job done in case you want to see the interesting differences in the FAL's characteristics with attachment combinations.
Mainly the way the HtK lines are displayed needs to be totally changed, and maybe something different with the SP lines too to push them more into the background or something. I also really hate the way the minor gridlines look, but I haven't found anything subtle enough that still gets the job done. I could take them out completely, but then it might be difficult to estimate ranges at certain points of interest on the graph like where a slope crosses a HtK line.
Ideas on how to fix it I have had plenty... The will to do all the work, not so much. ;p But then it's not like it's terribly important. Snakex doesn't need new charts, and it's not my data so I'm not publishing all the weapons anyway. I just thought people might find the FAL interesting.

Yea, I meant a higher resolution so I could make it bigger without losing the quality.
Another thing is the thing is very hard to follow. Although, I'm not that concerned. This game is almost over and I almost never use FAL.

Yeah it wasn't really built for public consumption, not in this form anyway. Just ignore everything but the FAL's 4 main lines, red, blue, yellow, and green. Mebbe I'll upload a version with all the extra stuff cut out just to make it clear.

Well, yeah. I based the graph off a page of formulas that lookup the relevant values from a table that contains every gun in the game based off of one cell I can change with a drop down combo box. ;3
In other words I only have one graph, but I can change which weapon's data is displayed very easily.
However, the graph really isn't up to snuff for public consumption and I just borrowed Snakex's data, so I don't really think it appropriate to post all the weapons. At least not without doing some major work on the graphs and even then I'd only do it if Snakex didn't mind since he did all the hard work.
If people are really interested and Snakex signs off then I'll work on it, though.

That chart is amazing. I imagined something like it but your version is a lot better. It would be cool to build it into snakex's chart - click on a weapon and another window appears with your chart.

*Really interested, if it's not that much effort. Don't want you doing a ton of work if Black Ops is coming up so soon.

It probably is a lot of work, but we'll see. Like I said I already had ideas. Thoughts on how big the charts should be? Both Den's and Snakex's are MUCH smaller, but the smaller it is the harder it is to keep it clear.
I'll work on it. Even with BO coming out I don't think it's a lost cause, because once we have the BO data it would be easy to put the BO data in the spreadsheet and pop out new charts for it too.
Any suggestions on font? I don't like the clarity (or lack there of) of it at this size, but making the text bigger causes problems.

Update... Uploaded with ImageShack.usJust a relatively quick reformatting to make it a little easier to read. I was attempting to remove all the dashed lines I could, but even with the saturation difference and a slightly different line width the SP lines just needed something else to differentiate them so I kept them dashed for now, but switched to long dashes. I think I just about desperately need to find a font that looks better at low resolution. I guess I'll start experimenting with it.

It's a pretty sexy pic, but the only thing this chart shows that others I've seen don't is the relationship between damage/range and aim assist.
Nice work.

Actually, other than just putting lots of info into one chart these are the only charts of the FAL that show the way that the Holographic changes the slope of the diagonal segment of it's damage lines. That was the main reason I posted them.
Putting all the info together was mainly for me, though a couple of people have expressed some interest in it.
