Are the stats the same as the beta? I suppose this is the main question to be answered. Assuming Den has the game, are we going to see a chart soon?
Did anyone but me actually get this game? <_< (I got it on PS3 if anyone wants to play with me. Add me: Aphoristic92)

Not sure if he kept his pre-order....
Also, based on number from steam, number of people online etc, it is VERY CLEAR that many people are NOT that stupid enough to buy this atrocious game.
I kept the order because I was too lazy to cancel it, and I hoped for decent SP. At least for PC, SP was enjoyable (I heard there are many problems in SP on consoles)

As of your post, steam metrics show ~300 more people playing SP than MP. I think it makes more sense to think of MoH as an accounting experiment to test the strength of a game done by two teams in two different rooms than as a valid, coherent game. What better way to maximise benefits than by using half the talent and not coordinating the two efforts to produce impossible deadlines and frantic atmosphere? It may have been a reflection of a shrewd anatomy of costs but word of mouth and a poor metascore are going to be a death sentence. But you only need to look as far as the weapon animations to instantly recognize its weaknesses. I wouldn't be surprised if Sledgehammer's Call of Duty is going to suffer the same fate as there is a relatively huge source of dollars and priorities moving to produce the next FPS phenomenon. After listening to some of the production language behind Bioshock Infinite though, it immediately became clear to me that producing something interesting and successful means thinking seriously about presentation and attention to detail and just what it means to be fun. It implies an above average level of problem solving and talent.

dookiehatex - I assume you found the stats posted on the main page by now, they were posted last night. Even though this isn't the technical forum, the other thread about MOH on this forum seems to be the unofficial technical thread now, so I figured i'd post in this one about random stuff now. Anyone use LMGs regularly on any Map/Mode? I have tried them all, but their inaccuracy really makes me dislike them. At anything further than close range, they are way to inaccurate for my liking. At even mid-range, I can't seem to reliably headshot and sometimes I seem to miss a random bullet in a 3 round burst. The chart seems to support my issues, as the zoom spread is 5 times that of the carbines (M4/AKs-74u) and over 3 times the M16A2's. In fact, the hip spread has the same accuracy as the zoomed LMGs. The inaccuracy just can't warrant any use, even with the extra clip size.

Yeah, they are so terribly inaccurate. I have my sights right on the sniper and I empty my entire clip and still don't get the kill. (bad sniper, probably was freaking out when I shot at him)
I guess dice just wanted the LMGs to not dominate completely like in all their other games...

In my limited experience so far I've really only found one use for the LMG's. When I'm on command objective mode, especially in helmand valley on the offence I like to swap to an LMG on the Hill (second base you take the one with the timer in the little city). I find that having 100 rounds at close to medium close range is far superior to having an assault rifle.
I realize this is pretty specialized but hopefully this might help shed some light on its uses.

Excellent, aphoristic. Much appreciated.
Was just thinking about calc-ing out the time to kills myself, definitely saved me some time! =)
Noobish question, but am I correct in assuming damage between the near and far range decreases as range increases gradually, and not only in absolute values?
E.x. M16A2 with normal ammo would do 21.5 dmg at 40 yards.

So with an M16, Open Tip, Match Ammo and a Headshot it would be a 1HK within 20 meters?
Or does Match Ammo not stack on Open Tip?
I have put about 6 hours into this game over the last 4 days, playing only on Sector Control.
I usually finish top or their abouts on my team but I just hate this game and the attitude people have on it, 90% of people snipe and the maps are set up that you can be spawn sniped over and over and will struggle even with smoke to move out of a spawn, I will admit I have took part in my fair share of spawn trapping but never have done it with a sniper from my own spawn.
Is there actually a gametype where people are not wanting to snipe?

M16 as long as it's not Silenced will kill in one headshot with Match Ammo on.
No, sniping is mandatory in all gametypes.

It's a real shame as I could see this being a good game if they managed to nerf the snipers to head shot only for 1hk and the BR down to 2 HS to kill.
Oh and the spawn system needs changed, anyone not playing with a party will be spawning in known spawns with air support raining down.

There is a few maps where it's especially bad, I agree. Garmzir Town on Sector Control is a flagrant offender, the team that spawns by Charlie has an insane advantage that often leads to them dominating the other team followed by a chain of mortars/air strikes/whatnot on the "middle of nowhere" spawn point that is in no man's land between Alpha and Bravo.
Sniping makes the game quite harsh to people who have just picked it up. You will take a few steps in the wrong direction and get sniped. After having played for a few days, you get the hang of the snipe alleys/spots. Some maps are just conducive to snipefests though, such as Diwagal Camp on Sector Control/Team Assault.
I shared the "Snipers are OP" sentiment for a bit when I first got the game, but nowadays I don't feel like snipers are more of a threat than anyone else. All you have to do is know the camp spots, just like other FPS games.

Well, nevermind. Apparently there is a patch that should be hitting sometime soon that will make bolt action snipers 2 shot kills to the body anything further than 10 meters. Also, seems like lots of gun stat modifications in general, as well as finally adding limb modifiers. www.medalofhonor.com/node/2081

That is exactly what the game needed, now if I get sniped out my spawn I might have a chance to get cover if he isn't so accurate to find a headshot.
I will be putting this disc back in my PS3 after this patch lands.

What is the point of the AK47? Was thinking this myself, I switched to the M16 as soon as it was available on that class.

I can give a shot at finding the right info a little later tonight.

Here you go Den: ***EDIT*** If anyone still needs this let me know. I'm getting a ton of BOT activity, on my website, since I linked this. www.7-zip.org/This is from the \medal of honor\MP\dist\win32\patch\levels\common_mp\level-00.fbrb file. I converted all the _firing files to text already. They didn't change all the weapons but it seems the ones they didn't change ( AK-74, SV-98, etc. ) were all the ones that just pointed to the American guns anyhow; and likely they still do.

Den,
Do you need any more info from the files to properly update the MoH chart?

No problem. I just wanted to make sure because I saw you talking about the multiplier info being in another file. Sorry I haven't replied on the blog ever. I had an Xanga account and then I deleted it. Now they won't let me sign up again with my email.
I've noticed the BO page and I like it !

Well, the body multiplier didn't change and the limbs are indeed 0.8x. From the numbers, apparently the bolt action rifles aren't a one hit kill to the body anymore. At all.
One thing that seems to be missing is the updated AK47. Maybe nothing about it changed?
Oh, and I just updated the Medal of Honor page. I'm pretty sure I got all the changed numbers. At least in regards to damage, range and spread.

Yeah, there was no new file for it. At least it's not as far off now, from the M16, as it used to be.

Thread necromancy, yes, but not like any of the threads in this section are moving much anyways.
Is this game going... at all right now? It didn't seem to have much of a fanbase to start with, and I'm curious how much the bigger-name releases are affecting it.

This week, there's usually around 2000 playing on Xbox 360. Some game modes have less than 10 people playing. Most people play the deathmatch mode (Team Assault) and the bad company rush mode (Combat Mission). The game hasn't been patched on 360 yet and the matchmaking is broken because it relies heavily on skill level but there aren't many players so often you sit in an empty server waiting for similar skill level players.
