So... I don't really ever play Battlefield. I did for a bit when it was new (I think I'm maybe level 18 or something? But maybe 28... or 12? Seriously I have no idea, I forgot I even had the game), but I didn't like it that much so I stopped. The other day my younger brother was visiting my apartment and started playing it. He had to leave mid game so I started playing. It was on whatever map has all the windmills and the other team had a couple helicopters up, so I switched to the engineer class with tracer darts. I promptly got what I consider a very impressive tracer dart plant (it was a long ways away, basically) and blow up one helicopter. I then miss all the rest of my darts, though And I see a helicopter flying over a mile away and I just decided to go for it unguided. RPG up, lead my shot, pull the trigger, watch it fly... It took more than 8 seconds (wish I had counted, I really didn't think it would hit) but then it blew it up. Jaw hit the floor. I don't think I'll ever top it, so no more BC2 for me.

I just had this really random moment recently:
Squadmate died in bush I pull out my defib and rush into the bush (The area was so heavily covered in vegetation that I had to rely on the revive symbol to navigate around.) Ran towards the revive symbol hit the shock pedal +50 wait a minute, he's my squadmate, why is it +50? Then I realized I had accidentally killed an enemy.

[quote author=kathinka board=nonsense2 thread=2727 post=44705 time=1302827071 yeah...that's what i thought too.[/quote] Awesome XD I have a somewhat typical story, from a Panama Canal round. This was back in the glory days of the M60, and I was having a ball ripping through entrenched enemies in the factory flag section (C, I think?). I run up on to the roof, and lo and behold, a whole four man team of snipers is crouched in one corner, completely oblivious to me. I raise my M60... and notice I have about 2 rounds left in my clip. shiiii.... I start reloading... They are too far away to just run up an knife. Reloading... they still haven't noticed me! Reloading... GODAMNIT HURRY UP RELOADING... Right as my hand primes the bolt, they all jump off the building at the same time (they obviously must be on a vent server or something). I chase after them, clumsily spraying rounds in their general direction, but they keep ignoring me! ARRggg.... I jump down after them, chasing. All four of them are hauling ass across the middle of the sunken ship, and I can only ever just manage pot shots while keeping up. And they are still ignoring me! I end up chasing them all the way to A, where they camp out in one of those buildings. They STILL hadn't noticed me - are they deaf? All of them were crouched at the end of that pier, and I lifted my sights.... and noticed that again, I only had about 3 rounds left. FFFFFUUUUUU.... Reloading..... Reloading.... Reloading... They still haven't noticed me..... Reloading.... Bolt primed.... I take aim at the group of four..... and a carl gustav round blows them all up on one shot. Needless to say, I was HIGHLY UNSATISFIED

You wouldn't have to prime/rack the bolt if you reload cancel...

You wouldn't have to prime/rack the bolt if you reload cancel... Seriously. I HATED using LMGs until I learned about reload-canceling. Cutting the reload time in HALF on my sweet, sweet LuAnne* gives me a boner. *LuAnne is my M249, Red Dot, Magnum class. Screw Assault when you can have an assault rifle with a 200 round magazine AND heal yourself! (I should trademark this) Edit: Oh, and Kathinka, that is probably the most awesome thing I have ever seen in my entire BC2 life!

If I remember correctly, I was playing Rush on Oasis, we'd just blown up the stations so I grabbed an ATV. I get shot while driving, then during the killcam I watch my killer get run over by the ATV I had been driving.
ROFL'd for a good few minutes on that one.

This one happened some ago but it was great. I was playing on Atacama Desert Conquest with one of my friends. We originally joined the game in a squad of 4, but the squad was split up. Two of us on America, other two went Russian. So, we rolled with it and tried to kick each-other's asses. Well, I know those other guys' play style. They were going to try to steal our Apache. So, I'm driving my Abrams and I notice our helicopter isn't in the sky. With my friend in the gunner seat, we decide to head to the main base and see what's up. As we approach, we notice a fire-fight inside the base. We turn left and move up the side of the American base. Our helicopter is still on the pad, so while looking around, I drive right through a fence and then head a scream of death. Yes, I accidentally ran over someone. But not just anyone, I ran over my saboteur friend. Whoopsies!
