Me, I'm a thief.
If I'm attacking Port Valdez, your choppers going down within 3 seconds either from a Gustav, or AAA, then when it lifts off again, it won't be friendly.
If I'm defending Isla or Valiprasio, say goodbye to your Blackhawk and hello to enemy air support.
If it's Atacama Desert, I'll fly over to your base, crash my chopper into one of your tanks, and fly your chopper away as a prize. Good luck with 2 enemy choppers pounding you.
Laguna Presa? What's better than being shot by an APC? 2 APCs!
Nelson Bay? I guess I'll settle with blowing the hell out of the buildings containing the M-Coms.

Slug pumps, repair tool, taking shortcuts through out-of-bounds, being a tankwhore as a response to all problems, sitting in a house in the back of their base being a dick

I'm either an Engi with an AT4 and a tracer (gotta help those Engineers that can't aim for their lives) or a Recon acting as a pointman, poppin' enemies and poopin' out motion sensors ahead of a big push.

General ass-hat-ery. For example, I can keep 1 to 2 squads busy at B long enough that my team can cap A and C. Also a decent tanker and can keep it up ( ) for an entire round.

Interesting question Mateo.
I find it hard to classify myself (not because I'm so otherworldly that I defy definition, but simply because I don't self-analyze often enough beyond the usual "Am I using the right weapon/kit/etc. for this situation"), and I imagine that the best answer would come from people who play with me; But since that's lacking I'll take a shot in the dark... I can at least say what "specialty" I'm going for most times.
On my server we give out awards for getting people to ragequit, with special bonus points given if that same person also jumps on Mumble to rage. This is pretty much my goal every single match; So I guess you could say my specialty is: Frustrating the other team via continual teabagging and grief-killing. We have no rules on the server in regards to base-rape, so typically I'll post up in their base with a VSS, C4, and motion mines and try to find some assault to kill and take his lunchbox. If there's no one there, then I'll just try to take out as many as possible from the base with my VSS, and prepare defenses for when they eventually come to root me out.
In scrims and try-hard matches my specialty is definitely the medic kit. In Alpha squad (our front-line "push" squad) I'll roll with the PKM/XM8/MG36 and both lunchbox upgrades 90% of the time, and in Charlie or Delta (our "Search and Destroy/Kill team" squads) I'll run M249 w/ heal radius upgrade and Magnum. This is my personal favorite kit for playing with people I know... Otherwise it's Recon VSS/Shotty.

yeah like you say it's pretty hard to objectively see how you play. i just think i'm playing battlefield.
I guess looking from my stats, the class I play most is engineer. I have more time with the repair tool than any of the SMGs. With all my weapons/vehicles lined up by kills, the Abrams, T-90 and Bradley are #3, 4 and 5. (and #2 is the XM8 compact).
I guess at my best I'm pretty much a tank gunner/tank support. That second spot in your vehicle is for me. I will shoot down AT4 clowns so fast that even if their rockets manage to fire they will hilariously and pathetically slide into the dirt. I will repair you even as mortars slam down all around me. I will jump out and drill that recon to death before he can detonate that C4. I will get you so many god damn vehicle assist +50s from hosing down hapless spawners and victims of overactive medics, and I will leap out when it's tank-on-tank, shoot a rocket of my own to help out then drill you to life so hard you can take out two at once.

Nonsense, the hammer of the Emperor is orbital bombardment and Space Marines. My specialty is "Hannibal". Six strategically placed C4. One pound on the remote trigger. Hundreds of points. One plan coming together. Finally, somebody gets it!

Distraction. LOL. im that guy who decides to say "Hey! shoot at me in the tank and ignore the guys placing charges on your M-COM Station" I also make a good helicopter gunner if i have a good pilot, which is almost always given that i only play BF when my friends are on it. Speaking of my friends, i have this one really close friend who i swear took Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Helicopter Pilot traning. He is an absolute GOD at dodging Locked-on tracered RPGS, AT4s, hell even fucking tank rounds. If there was any type of tournament for flying Heli's, he would definatly win. Not trying to brag or anything, sorry if it came off that way

In the first BC I was "Knife the M-Com to kill it" Guy. Not even joking, I'd C4 it up once or twice, then stab it rapidly to slowly, slowly wear it down. Most teams either ignored me or didn't check on the M-Com fast enough and I'd get it.
As far as BC2, I tend to run C4 Quads, or stealth operations to get myself into your M-Coms while your entire defensive line is way out there.

Aphoristicit's great when you sneak past the enemy front lines, but it sucks massive shiznits when your teammates never decide to spawn on you, and then some random recon decides to take a stroll in the backyard and alerts everyone

yeah I like to play hide-and-seek in the enemies base as much as possible, and if you're solo or your squad isn't playing ball, it's essentially just not possible after you die once. It's such a long way back that you want to get there as fast as possible and get frustrated, so you take dumb shortcuts and you're not in the right frame of mind at all when you get there, and it never works out. I think my mind lets me down much more than my mechanical skills now.

Rambo medic.
Run in like a god with an M60 (I know it sucks but holy jebus that gun is satisfying to shoot) and a Revolver. Spray bullets all over the place while reviving teammates for an insane amount of points. I usually end up with the most points.

Depends on the map, but one thing I enjoy most is Recon motion-sensoring.
Basically, you've got a mobile, regularly resupplied [if the Assault guys ever throw down ammo boxes] UAV and if your teammates have the presence of mind to pay attention, you become the most invaluable member of your team. Why? Because in a destructible environment, knowing where the enemy is is about 80% of the battle, not 50%. I also like to call in the mortar strikes when my teammates have just planted at the M-COM, and giving sniper support when they're trying to defuse.
I also really enjoy headshotting the UH-64 gunners and pilot. Nothing, and I repeat, NOTHING, is more satisfying than a helicopter at full speed, turning, laughing hilariously as their gunners mow down my teammates, and then sniping him in the face and watching it sail smoothly down to the ground. Or when I've noticed a thief running back to our spawn to steal a helicopter, they get inside, start up the rotors... then BAM - brains all over the cockpit before they could get off the ground.
Other favourites include being the machine gunner of the M3A3 Bradley - I'm the guy that suppresses the shit out of the defenders, spots them repeatedly, and spots the land mines [hopefully] before the driver does something stupid like drive over them.
Also laying mines down for quad bike C4 guys to drive over, and using unguided RPGs to take down helicopters just for the lols.
