As by the M95 it does 100 damage up to 18m. my main question is if you use magnum it increase the effective range by 25 % ?
18*1.25 = 22.5m
Somone whit accurate info about this ?

you are correct

well, I'm not sure if your formula is right, it's based on damage not distance. but yeah it increases the OHK range

Assume a linear function and calculate slope. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SlopeLet f be the damage as function of the distance x. f(x)=m*x+b m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(55-100)/(36-18)= -45/18 Calculate b by looking at point (x=18, y=100): f(18)=100 per definition and f(18)= -45*18/18 + b => b=145 => f(x)= -45x/18 + 145 Search for x so that f(x) becomes 80 (thus 1.25* f(x) becomes 100): f(x) = 80 = 145 - 45x/18 65 * 18 / 45 = x x = 26 The OHK distance is 26m. edit: changed min damage from 50 to 55

does that mean the other snipers only get a 14 meter OHK with magnum? gosh it's like COD stopping power, but with range.... if it is only a +4 meter OHK range, we might as well be using body armor and be tank recons

One error there - you used 50 instead of 55. The M95 with Magnum delivers 100 damage out to exactly 26m.
The other bolt action sniper rifles with Magnum deliver a one hit body kill out out to 20.4m.

only use magnum ammo on snipers in hardcore, in normal mode stick with the spotter scope it's far more beneficial.

i assume you play on a console? Might as well use explosive MK or body armor if you play on pc since q button is right there. I thought i'd just mention that the VSS only takes 2 headshots to kill from all ranges with magnum (unless you run into a body armor guy) suprisingly little people use it, it's extremely effective at taking out the enemy snipers , and the close range benefits are amazing, overpowered if i might say- it's technically slower than the G3, but i feel it kills more effeciently- hipfiring it at close range is also a good tactic. A little off topic- but how do you guys use the G3? i find it hard to use compared to the VSS, despite their similar stats

Could someone try to tell the right formula an bit easyer, i quess im not the only who can't understand all the numbers above.
There can be other combinations, for exsample if the enemy is using body armor + if the sniper is using magnum or not
Could someone calculate all those situations about if players use magnum or not + body armor.

Body Armor vs. Magnum is the same as if neither were there, as they are both 1.25x.
-
First, get the difference of the two damage values for MaxDamage. 100 - 55 = 45. Next, get the two ranges and the difference for those. 36 - 18 = 18 Divide the difference in damage by the difference in range to get Damage Lost Every Meter. 45 / 18 = 2.5 The M95 loses 2.5 damage per meter. But since its max is 100, it stops being a one hit kill the instant after 18m.
-
Using Magnum damage (1.25x) numbers: 125 - 68.75 = 56.25 36 - 18 = 18 56.25 / 18 = 3.125 damage lost with each meter
Now with that, subtract 100 (or 125 if the player has Body Armor) from the max damage for the extra LethalRange within the range the damage drops. 125 - 100 = 25 Divide the LethalRange with the DamageLost. 25 / 3.125 = 8
An extra eight meters are added to the lethal one shot kill range of the M95.
MaxDamage - MinDamage = TotalDamage MinRange - MaxRange = TotalRange TotalDamage / TotalRange = DamageLost MaxDamage - PlayerMaxHealth = LethalRange LethalRange / DamageLost = KillRange
125 - 68.75 = 56.25 36 - 18 = 18 56.25 / 18 = 3.125 125 - 100 = 25 25 / 3.125 = 8

Yes if both use magnum & body the OHK range whill be the same, + if you use body armor and the sniper is not using magnum you can survive an body shot at point black range since the damage isn't over 125.
Do magnum increase maximum damage range on exsample low damage weapons ?
Another question:
1. How many objects can a bullet go truth before its lose its damage effects exsample wooden houses on valparisio
2. What is the damage of the VADS compared to the M134 Miniguns ?
